Mine had a switch pedal/rc. The remote only works in RC mode. Which defeats the purpose of steering them out of trouble when letting them learn to drive.
Update this video, I have the same car but different parts and different directions from this same company. this doesn’t make any sense I have two black pieces instead of a regular screw. I’m confused about why I have different parts when it’s the same exact car. 🤨
Once the car is paired, will it only work with the remote? My elder can drive on her own while the younger one needs help with the remote. How to unpair the remote?
how do you disconnect the remote? my sons mercedes came with the remote already paired but now he is big enough to drive it himself, but i cant get the peddle to work just the remote
You don't need to 'un-pair' the remote to use the pedal in the car. The pedal will always work as normal. If you don't want to use the remote, just put it to one side and don't press the buttons.
You can reset the whole pairing system by briefly disconnecting the battery (remove the red wire). This will reset the control box so you can start again. NOTE: The car MUST BE SWITCHED OFF before you try to pair it. Hold down forwards/reverse buttons, and then switch the car on. Check that the car is working normally on the pedal before you try to pair it, and check that you get red lights on the remote, which indicates that it's working properly and batteries are installed.

If you skip to 27 seconds in the part that the steering pole hooks onto, how do i get a spare part for that (the bit that steers the wheels thats already on the car) i need a new one where can i find it?
Just got this for my nephew and I was able to pair the forward and reverse but the left and right isn't working....any ideas? Thanks for the video btw, I was at a loss with the badly written directions.
The steering is controlled by a steering motor that is fitted underneath the car, on the steering column. If you can hear the motor turning when you press left/right, then the motor is working properly and the problem is that the bolt has not been fitted that connects the motor to the column. If you cannot hear the motor turning when pressing left/right, then it is possibly a loose wire on either the steering motor itself, or possibly at the control box (under the seat). Double check all connections at the steering motor and control box to ensure all connections are secure, making a good, firm, metal to metal contact. Hope that helps.
Mine does flash then stop flashing when turning on the car but I can't control the car, it just stays unresponsive to the remote control

After being paired, it makes no difference to the in-car controls, they will continue to work as normal.
