Häufig wird nur geschimpft und auf Mängel verwiesen, technologischen Rückstand moniert, heisst es wird rumgekotzt. Wie das Werk entstanden ist, unter welchen Entbehrungen und Behinderungen durch den Westen es vollbracht wurde, dazu zumeist kein Wort. Zum D4 finden sich glücklicherweise nicht nur Fotos von Exemplaren an Unis in Leipzig und Dresden sowie beim Nixdorf Museum. Es gibt PDF Dateien einiger Wissenschaftler bezüglich Herr Lehmann, Büromaschinenwerk in Zella Mehlis, Robotron im Allgemeinen, in denen der D4a und seine Nachfolger gut beschrieben werden. War sehr erfreut, die mir zuvor unbekannten Rechner zu finden. Literatur Quellen Manfred Ludwig (TU Dresden) Herr Lehmann zum 90. Geburtstag Heise online "Wer ist Lehmann Kleincomputer aus der DDR" TU Dresden "Darstellung der Entwicklung der maschinellen Rechentechnik". Förderverein für die Technischen Sammlungen der Stadt Dresden "Rechenautomaten mit Trommelspeichern" u.a. Sehr interessant.

How big is this choir?! O.O No wonder there are oopsies in the mix, it's already a miracle it holds together until the end! This is insane. And amazing. And beautiful. I got surprised to hear Angry Flames, Now the guns have stopped and Better is peace in other languages than English, though it's absolutely logical. I would like to have subtitles now. I can't figure if the images behind are a good thing or not. But then, I already have a so clear idea of the piece in my mind that it clouds my judgment. Maybe not through all of it... I regret the images are too explicit some times, not about showing horrible things, but too recognizable things like WWII Germany and 11 September. The Armed Man is supposed to talk about war in general, through time and places, not specific wars. That's why too specific images triggered me.

For us that took part in this concert in Berlin it was a wunderful / great / exceptional experience to be there. We only had 3 rehearsals to get the 2000 members, from 27 nations, of the choir and the orchestra on one line. The statement, november 2018, 100 years after the end of WW1 was and is still necessary in a world where still war keeps claim victims.

So ironic that he uses terrorist music in the very second part...

This was…kind of a mess! I mean scads of tuning problems, and tempo issues with the chorus and orchestra seemingly not on the same page at times. I understand it can be pretty tricky keeping 2,000 people together, but there’s no excuse for some of it.
