St Catherine's College: Scholars' Dinner 2024
The Scholars’ Dinner is the most prestigious event on the College’s calendar and is steeped in tradition. It is also one of the many ways we foster and celebrate our culture of academic excellence and intellectual knowledge. 🌟
This year’s event was a sensational evening as we welcomed alumni, distinguished guests and our most academically gifted residents with a Course Weighted or Weighted Average Mark of a High Distinction or above to our Curtin University campus.
Thank you to our guest speaker, Judith Fordham, a criminal lawyer, forensic analyst and author of “Life, Law and Not Enough Shoes”, who sparked thoughtful discussions between guests as part of a broader dialogue within the room on facing personal challenges and embracing change.
The 2025 Rhodes Scholar, Eden Rigo, also spoke to the guests about her past and encouraged them to take advantage of every opportunity they were presented with. She will commence her postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford next year, with a future focus on creating equitable and sustainable communities.
Special congratulations must also go to our Academic Award Winners, who achieved the highest marks in their cohort.

Bagaimana cara menghubungkan Case Report dan Case Studies from Polices and Reporters ke Rhema En Cara School? Terima kasih.
Eugene are you still around? Can we connect, I am writing Regenerative Ag Practice programs for Primary School and would love to gain some of your knowledge. Are you doing any more walks, or courses that I could attend?
A very inspiring video. I teach tour guiding and conservation and after many years of living and participating in the regeneration of so much denuded land I hope that your model of regeneration through story and connection will bring new inspiration, activity and success. We need it. Time to pick up the land again and keep the fire burning.
Congratulations Eugene, those stories planted into boodja are moortitj.
I was born in this country. My nationality is Australian. This always was and always will be MY country. If the British did not set up a colony in Australia, do Aborigines think 200+ years later no other country such as China or Japan would have claimed the land? The British didn’t invade. They enhanced, improved and built a wonderful country. This is no different to other countries that have changed ownership and had borders moved going on for centuries. Mind you, these countries were taken over by wars. If the British declared war on the Aborigines, they wouldn’t have a voice today and that’s only if they had survived a war. I am not saying Aborigines should disregard their heritage but I am so sick of the “poor me” syndrome. The first fleet didn’t have it easy. They had to survive the trip, then imprisonment, whippings, hard labour and harsh conditions but look what they accomplished. Built homes, roads, education, crops, etc
China owns Australia
This has not always been Aboriginal land and I think it's an out of touch with reality to state it always will be. These statements that exclude the 97% of Australians need to stop if we are to become one nation.
Sooo refugees arnt welcome. ..
