Very awesome video! My right joystick got messed up because my kid dropped the portal and I was very sad. I started browsing TH-cam to see if anyone had replaced joysticks yet. I found this video and watched it all the way through. Felt confident that I could swap out the joystick, so I ordered a replacement and a hobby tool kit. Took about two weeks for the joystick to show up. I followed this video step by step and I feel he does such a good job explaining each process that this was a breeze to change. Thank you very much for your time, effort, and input!

What a ridiculous design. You have to disassemble the fan to clean the filters, which should be readily accessible if they're to do their job. Dyson technology over practicality.

I've got one of the original Nespresso machines but was thinking of buying a Vertuo machine as I've found the coffee to be better when I've used it in a hotel. But the more I learn about Vertuo the more I think I'll not bother. I believe it was only introduced because the patent on the old pod design had run out.

For people who don’t want to disconnect the portal when powering it off but want the PS5 to go into rest mode: Go into power saving settings on your PS5 ,set the PS5 inactivity rest mode to the lowest time which is 20 mins. The PS5 console will then go into rest mode automatically 20mins after powering off the portal

Wow. Thank you for this, I was about to lose hope. I think there are a few different revisions of this silly machine, some that stop automagically, and some that require manual input (like ours) Again, thank you. Also, I used vinegar to clean it as I always have with coffee makers, but it sounds like you're supposed to use lactic acid, or citric acid descalers.

You sound like a mate of mine called Vince 😁 ... I've moved into a new property and discovered this monstrosity fixed (extremely unlevel) to the hall wall. I popped open the bottom plate to see what it was and discovered the fibre input and an rj45 exiting so I figured it was a crossover from fibre to lan. It seemed a little large and I noticed it stated charging/fault etc and now I realise what it is. Good idea only the internet is screwed if so, but originally the phone was never a problem anyway, when we're ADSL a standard phone was fine. Tech is great, it's fun, it's handy but the demand for faster and faster tech has resulted in problems and stumbling blocks we never had, never needed and could do without. Cheers for the quick heads up on the mystery white box. 👌

I did what was instructed, but still can’t get it to power the console on. Both the Portal and console are on the same 2.4GHz network. Can outside BT connections interfere with this?
