This is good practice at handling a very light Microlight in rough turbulence. I should have made a steeper approach to miss some of the surrounding tree rotors.

This is a very light Flexwing, with a low stall speed, and a very soft stall. If I keep the speed no less than 30mph, and don't bank more than 30 degrees, then you can fly like this all day. It is good practice to know how your aircraft will react in this setup, in case you get engine problems and need to land quickly in a tight field with lots of obstacles.

I use Free Passive Solar Heating for Heating our Pool in the Summer when the sun is out. But in the Weather/Summer isn't Good, or in the slightly Cooler Months, I Use a WOODBURNER, and it Works Really Well! This is how we do it.

All you need is some black plastic, a solar cover, and a tarpaulin. You can then heat your pool for years for free, without having to run a pool pump all day, saving your electric bill, and not wearing your pool pump out very quickly.

Test towing my Solo 210 wooden Trike by Remote Winch. The break lines are about 6" too short, so the wing is stalling even with my hands high up. Next test soon, when I will winch tow this Trike off the ground.

Why not put the black at the bottom then fill ur pool up that surely saves slicing it to bits ?
Because you take the black plastic out the pool each time to swim/paddle /sit in it. The cuts make it very easy to get the plastic sheet to submerge again .
I heard y u cut it in previous video to help it submerge however I did try this the other day not the submerged black liner the black liner that sits on top it only heated the top 3 inch of the pool is this the reason u submerge it fully ? it did make a big difference though and thanks for the tips
I had this same idea, then googled it, and found your video 👍. I'm trying out a heavy duty weed membrane as that's what i had handy
That should work, but you should cut slits in it to make it easy to sink to the bottom
Hi, do you think you’re method would work in the middle of winter if I added a heat source at the beginning? I don’t want to run the heater throughout winter, but if I include the black tarp and solar cover will that keep it warm if I FILL it with warm water at the beginning?
It depends where you live. If you have very mild winters and lots of sun, then it might make it a bit warmer, but for most countries away from the equator, this is a free summer heating solution.

Of course it does. This is Part 3 - watch Part 4 - we've been heating our pool like this for years - we are paddling in ours everyday day with water nearly to the top. Very refreshing.

Hmm, where can you buy a black pool - nobody makes them, which is a pity.

Bought a microlight so got distracted - going to do lots more paratowing in 2019, including step paratowing.
If you were running arducopter it's no wonder rth failed, you should be running arduplane! Only joking, I know it was a mistake when you said copter ha ha. I've been stuck in a tree before, took me 3 days to get it back!

Maybe low level turbulence from the rising ground and trees etc upwind?
looks like the wing struggled to get flying in the low wind conditions initially and when it did you backed of on the power and induced a slight oscillation. good work on the winch what hp engine did you use? Juicedwinch :)
It was my fault. The line was running up against a post a bit to the left of the normal line track. I was too tired to unharness and move it over to the next gap a bit more on the right for a straight run. I took off with a bit of left turn so as to fly 'around' the post and 'unhook' the line, but it didn't become unstuck until I was close to it.
There is NO internal Compass in the APM Mini PRO. Dissapointed we didn't see how you got it out of those high branches...the bit we all wanted to see.....wasn't captured on video....:)
I used a that catapult with a line attached, and managed to get it over the plane after many attempts. Then I pulled on the line from different angles to get an easier path through the trees and down to the ground.
Hi, I got a problem with mine.. I got a Apm Pro clone, i don't know if it's the problem but i cannot make my compass calibration... How you did it?.. Did you have the bad compass health error?!... Thanks...
These mini APM's all seem to have a compass problems, it is a real pain. The original APM doesn't have this problem. I fitted a new higher draw standard APM into this plane. It worked ok, for a bit, then 1 flight it locked me out, and this plane headed off at about 100ft never to be seem again. I searched for a day or 2 in lots of woods on it's flight path, but never found it.
+Dorset Flyboys I bought a Pixhawk and no problem.. The only problem is the compass, so I kept this one for build a mini racing quad without Gps only fly...
