Can i use potatostarch instead of cornstarch?

thank you for a recipe using buttermilk. Red Velvet cake is our usual birthday cake, but then I have to find a way to use the rest of the quart of buttermilk. I'll definitely try this.

I use a metal whisk to mix.

I'm so glad to see a recipe for sweet potatoes. We usually have them at Thanksgiving and, possibly, Christmas.

When I was a kid,an elderly neighbor lady would smear apple butter on her legs every morning and wrap them with newspaper.

I wonder if this would work with Apple sauce.

I have made a few of these & luv them as gifts. I have found a flaw in the extreme winds of Oklahoma....the hole in can eventually cuts thru string. Ive tried sanding around hole, using a lil glue, even glue a waser to can, nothing has helped. Any ideas how to prevent this?
