You mean to tell me they screwed up 20 bags? 20 BAGS WORTH $675 each!!?? Say that again, only 20 bags a million dollar company had to make and they had the nerve to charge high end Prices for a Five Below final product? That absolutely horrendous. I would be doing a very quick charge back on my credit card

This is a pretty huge fumble for GCDS. I thought they were supposed to be a luxury fashion brand. Sending customers a product that should have been rejected by quality control and then refusing to make it right with the customer is not how a luxury brand operates. A luxury brand should stand by the quality of their products and correct any blatant errors on their part so they can maintain trust in their brand. I hope they find a way to make this up to the customers that purchased these and believed in the beauty of this design or they will lose a large part of their target consumer for any of their future brand collaborations with Polly Pocket as well as any future limited releases like this. So sorry this happened to you guys. I will be crossing my fingers that they take some kind of reasonable accountability for the poor product quality of this release.

Wow. I am shocked at the quality of that bag. The idea is amazing but the metal not matching on either side is ugly, the cracked plastic because it wasn’t packaged properly is terrible planning and negligent, the yellowing glue is ugly, and the layers not being sealed makes the bag unusable 😢

I got bag #2 and it is GARBAGE. I am so disappointed! I'm glad I paid through PayPal, I've opened a case through that asking for my money back. I pointed to this livestream as a part of my evidence. I also refuse to return the bag - I am not paying for shipping/restocking, and I do NOT want them selling this cheap knock-off to some other unsuspecting collector! If you paid by PayPal or credit card, I encourage you to open a case and refuse to pay for this item. GCDS clearly doesn't care about us, but maybe PayPal and the major credit card companies can make them do the right thing.

Dear Kate, My sincerest condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. As a daughter who lost her father last year, words can’t describe the immeasurable loss your heart feels. It’s like your heart has smashed into a thousand pieces and even though you will repair it and put it back together eventually, the pieces will be glued back together with them never to be whole again. In saying this, all is not lost as your dad may have passed but he isn’t gone. He lives in an idea that has spread so much joy, happiness and love. Personally, Polly has meant so much to me. As a child, she came with me everywhere and my mum and I had so much fun finding and buying Polly pockets everywhere we went. Now, so many years later, Polly has come back into my life as collecting became a hobby through the dark days of covid. It has opened up connections to a wonderful community of collectors who quite frequently wrap Polly mail with such love and care. I now have a collection that has come from all over the world from like minded people. It physically manifests the values of Polly Pocket; family, friendship and love. Your dad had the most incredible idea, a spark that has lit a flame that can’t be extinguished. You should be so proud of him. And I’m sure he is so proud of you. Have comfort in his peace. Kate, our hearts are with you in this time of mourning. Your father truly leaves a legacy to be proud of behind. Even when I was getting rid of my childhood toys - and long before I became a collector - I couldn’t bear to part with my Pollys. These brilliantly engineered works of art were such a joyful part of my childhood, giving me hours of play from a young age. I dragged them around through multiple moves, unable to part with them but not quite knowing why. Until one day I pulled them out, rediscovered their charm and genius, and decided to grow my collection. Thank you so much for inspiring your father to create this wonderful toy. Polly Pocket was a huge part of my childhood. I remember playing with them as a child and it always gave me comfort. I'm so thankful for your father as he not only created my (and so many others) favorite toys but created so many wonderful memories. Every Christmas and birthday as a child I recieved a Polly Pocket. Every time I had a friend over we would play Polly Pockets. I saved them for my daughter and she loved them just as much as I did. Now I display them because they still bring me as much joy as they use to. Polly helped me dream and let my imagination run wild. I know there are so many others that feel the same way. Hugs.

Hey Julie you are awesome and also an entertaining seller! You can delete this message after reading - but just wanted to say, all your complaints about others' behaviour seem to have good reasons. However as a seller, and as a professional seller if you would like to branded as such, there is very little room for sympathy in online sales unfortunately. If you have a firm 24h payment rule, which is quite a tight time frame, then you can expect corresponding expectations. There are always life reasons for delays, but please notice the money from the buyer came through. To get that money to pay you, the buyer probably had alot of life struggles to earn that money as well! We all have tons of reasons but at the end of the day, commerce is demanding. If you were on ebay, you would have been penalized already in several ways. If you expect leniency in your shipments, then you probably have to be lenient in payments as well. Coming from a really supportive place: I suggest you see some common reseller complaints from other online groups (Lego reselling, etc) there are endless horror stories of buyers. You'll need to factor in that cost (mental, physical, real dollar losses), if you want to pursue a life as a reseller, or sales of any kind. A great advice that a reseller youtuber once explained: "If you have a customer that's just really unreasonable, did x-y-z, just do whatever it is to close the file and move on. That's just part of the business. Don't go and call your grandma, your friends, your neighbours to rant about it, that's a waste of time".

I absolutely love it! Of course I also missed out on the gorgeous box but I've ordered the individual pieces. I love the colours they chose. To me the 'polly world' teal blue is the iconic packaging colour. 'Pollyville' hot pink is the colour of the sidewalk on pollyville sets!! blew my mind. The one that I think appeases the modern polly pocket is 'tiny is mighty' purple as that's the colour of modern polly pocket packaging. I totally agree with you about the direction Mattel is going in. The more colabs, the more vintage looking collectibles we get. It's so exciting. There's a stationary store in Australia that currently have pink adult socks with the vintage polly pocket logo. I hope they do more merch!
