Using a single Zener Diode as a Switch instead of a transistor and this happened
Hey! have you ever tried to think outside the box, because in this video, I will be showing you something that will blow your mind, something you never think of being possible, but was possible if only you had tried it.
So what is this video all about?
In this video, I will be using a “DIODE” in the place of a transistor like the (BJT and MOSFET) as usually used, to function like a switch for a “NIGHT ACTIVATED SWITCH” of course we are still going to include our ‘LDR’ component, because it’s the sensor which detects if they is too much light or not, or if they is a complete darkness in the room or space so the question is will the diode work? Let’s find out!
Please do well to share your thought in the Comment section and Like, Share and most importantly don’t forget one thing that’s going to make you not see me next time and ever again which is, hitting the SUBCRIBE button and also turning the notification bell icon on for more videos thank you.
You can also check for some of my already made videos you should also like them.

Which uses more power? For energy efficiency? To make the battery last longer? Or do they both use the same power
The transistor does but load varies
I use this for torch but it drops output voltage and current.

Top video mate, watching from Melbourne Australia.
Glad you enjoyed
What was your prediction who did you find out best
FYI there's an interesting bug/feature in the original bipolar 555 where when the output switches it briefly shorts the power supply. This tends to cause a pair of oscillators like this to soft sync up as it moves the internal reference voltage. It doesn't happen with the CMOS 7555 version.
Okay,
nice
Thanks
Cool very good explanation just improve the quality of the vid and you could be a big youtuber :)
I will try my best
they say if you cannot explain it simply you do not understand it well enough you have it down to a science looking forward to the rest of your content. :)
I appreciate that.

Good work. Thanks for the time taken to explain how they work.
Glad to help
Amazing video You deserve more subs brother❤
I appreciate that!
Very nice explanation, quick and easy to grasp the inner working of 555, I just have a feedback to give: this tiled background sort of makes it hard to see the schematic because of contrast, besides that, great video, new subscriber!
Okay i will work on that's, thanks for your comment.
I'm not sure why I had never understood the 555 timer modes until I saw this video, well done!

Good, ne555 very useful for many applications
Great tutorial man! I was going to buy about 10 NE555 timers just to make some projects with it. Thank you for upload, keep the good work!
Glad I could help!
