Nice trip report. 👍🏻. IMHO, Frecciarossa 1000 Executive Class is much better and I always prefer to travel aboard that rather than Italo Club/Executive. I think the buttery soft yellow seats are more comfortable and the full meals are appreciated. 😉

Yes. Do a trip report on the Frecciarossa train. You should try Executive class.

In crete there is a third airport ,its Sitia at the very east end of the island and the distance between them is about 200 km, so its 35-40 minutes flight with a turboprop and between the west and east coast its 336 km ,almost 5 hours of driving.

Bud Airport is amazing? Its small, dated and it could use a renovation. The glass windows are nice but there a pretty low amount of planes parked and the runway is pretty far so not much use. I would say its average at best.
