I went into this show intrigued, but it has just been solid every week. And, even though it was already heavily theorized that he was Wiccan, the reveal was still really cool and well done. I'm hopeful we're getting a cameo from Elizabeth Olsen in the last episode or something.

The only way to salvage Joaquin Phoenix's Joker is if you look at it from this perspective. At the end of Joker (2019), it says "The End" signifying that Arthur Fleck's story is complete and the joke he was thinking of before the end of the movie was "Joker: Folie à Deux" and it was so absurd it made him laugh, this is what prompted the Arkham psychiatrist to ask him, "What's so funny?" And he responds, "I was just thinking, something of a joke," and when she asks if he wants to tell it to her, he replies, "You wouldn't get it" before he begins singing. The events of Part 2 didn’t actually happen; they were all in Arthur's head.

I love the episode the costumes and the special effects inspired by Deadites I love the show and characters in it. SPOILERS I am sad that Alice died, she was a cool character, and she just got ride off her family curse it's so SAD AND SHE DIED SAVING AGATHA like a good protection with :/ on a more positive note Rio is having so much fun xD and I am so sad about that Sharon tease from Agatha that was a low blow Miss Harkness 😦 also it looks like Teen/Pet / Billy put that sigil on himself to get to Agatha ? At last, that how it seems to me . Also the whole making the broom seems really queer coded and Agatha's mother made me think about alt right parents wishing dead on their Queer children

The movie was good. If you thought it wasn’t it’s because you expected it to be something. It continues where the 1st movie left off.

I think the first Joker was truly beautiful. It portrayed a mentally ill man, failed by the system, who stops being afraid of anyone and becomes a powerful rebellious figure who stands up to the ELITES- the rich people. Yet, even after all the murders he committed, he still wasn't actually evil. He didn’t kill innocents. His mother, who wasn’t really his mother, abused him as a kid and drove him to insanity. The three men on the train were drunk and beating him up for no reason. The bullies at work hurt him and got him fired. Even Murray, his idol, brought him on his show to make fun of him which pushed him over the edge. Arthur didn’t even go on the show planning to kill Murray-he intended to kill himself. The Joker fights for the poor, broken people like Gary and ARTHUR: *Mentally ill loner who's society abandons and treats like trash.* His cold transformation is epic, and so I don’t understand how people can love the Joker but hate Arthur. In the second movie, what upset me the most was how much more Arthur was tortured, especially with that horrific **** scene, Harley lying to and abandoning him, and then him getting murdered by the supposed ‘real’ Joker. Arthur giving up his Joker identity was actually a beautiful message because it showed that no one cares about the man suffering behind the mask. But it was pretty disturbing, since he was too scared and traumatized to even save himself. Harley wasn’t the Harley we know-she should’ve been the one who accepted him, questioned what went wrong, and fought for him. She barely tried. She didn’t defend him, help him escape, or gather an army. One thing that didn't make sense was how he had so much influence as the Joker and yet no help came until the very end with those two imposters but of course, he had to ditch them and run to Harley, who was his main priority considering he believed that she was pregnant. After everything he went through, it’s baffling that Arthur is no longer the Joker, and instead, that some random inmate stole that persona from him.

YEa I was kinda of confused with the movie as well. The musical dream sequences was off putting. I don't think it went well with the movie.

Gaga as a great performer as Harley Quinn? Please, as a Harley fan I feel deeply offended, she's the worst adaptation of the character ever! Never Harley was the manipulative b*tch crazy psycho who only want Joker for his madness and destruction and violence, and never she leaves him after he shows some weakness. Harley in the cartoon is indeed attracted by Joker and fall into the circle of chaos with him, but first because she wanted to help him, then because she fall for his lies of him being brutalized by his father and only wanted to make people happy and laughing. That he was just a misanderstood guy sweet inside. Which is obviously a lie and Joker is the cold, manipulative psychipath who throw literally Harley out many times, trying to kill her many times, while she's dreaming of getting rid of Batman and have a family/be happy with Joker (Mad love comic). She has such a great character developpement through the years, going from the pupper of the Joker to this powerful chaotic version of herself, moving on from him and marrying Ivy, and redeeming herself in many new comics and starting her own life. And keep the joyful madness of herself, but she cares about her friends and pets too. That's what they took from the character in this movie and they didn't even deny it, so no, Gaga might be a great singer but she's not meant for being Harley Quinn (that Lee thing urgh), she's just a Joker groupie like his fans. That's all.

People are angry that Arthur isn’t The Joker. It’s called “joker”, he is A joker. If you removed the “Arkham” sign and any reference to Gotham, there’s nothing that makes this the DC Joker. He’s an abused kid grown up into a mentally ill man in a terrible city. Anything else is projecting our expectation of The Joker onto him. (Har)Lee’s reaction to him later in the film is the audiences’ misunderstanding of the movie and the character. She wanted the Joker and he was only ever Arthur (just like the critics) Speaking of the music… the reason for the music? He first saw Lee in music therapy and she sang to him. If it was art therapy, Arthur would have been dancing through paintings to woo her in his hallucinations. Lee’s love language is music. She was a privileged upper East sider. She probably had music, voice, dance lessons as the girl of rich parents. This isn’t a musical, it’s the fever dream of a lovestruck, obsessive mental patient. He’s mentally ill, not a mastermind anarchist. Can anyone honestly say that you could see Arthur from Joker1 planning the downfall of Gotham? Outsmarting any of the batmans we’ve seen (Pattinson’s?!). Do you see him making penguin or the riddler bend the knee? Would Bane freeze at the sight of him?See him walk into a room full of mob bosses and walk out unscathed? Manufacture timed explosives, p0is0n gas, fight Batman hand to hand? He was full of swagger as joker, but he wasn’t smarter; he didn’t demonstrate any greater competency, he had no skills other than a good strut. Even his court skills were true to the story; his defense was so incompetent.. exactly what an uneducated person would be able to do. It’s like the arguments you hear in traffic court by people defending themselves. Heck, this was even shown in the 1st movie. Joker’s super moment on the stairs is shown as him just dancing like an idiot (lots of pelvic thrusts) hearing his own music. He was never The Joker. Even at the end of Joker1 we see him in police custody with no sign of a fight. He probably just sat down on the couch and waited for the police. Remember his plan was self h@rm, not murd3r. He didn’t know what to do next. Then he gets rescued by his followers and he stands on top of the car (again, just a strut) Then we see him hunched over, laughing his painful Arthur laugh smoking a cigarette with another counselor in Arkham. He was caught again. The audience wanted to see him powerful, so it did, but he was still Arthur just playing more roles for atttention and love. They wanted Hannibal Lechter but he was always Buffalo Bill

Arthur Fleck isnt the joker and never was even in the first movie. Just a disturbed man failed by the system who read batman comics when he was a child. Nothing has changed this was the real perspective of the first movie and this carries on into the second. Harley isnt even real. This just isnt the interpretation everyone wanted.

If I wanted to watch a musical, I’d go to a theater, not the movies. We could've saved the time and money-this was hands down the worst sequel ever. I fell asleep multiple times, and now I know for sure: Lady Gaga isn’t just a bad singer, she's a terrible actress too. The best part of the film? When Joker told Gaga to stop singing.

I was wondering who else would notice the guards had assaulted him. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD. What makes that scene hit even harder, is the fact that they revealed in court that Aurthers mom sexually abused him as a child. What the guards did brought his trauma back, reminding him that he isn’t joker, just a broken man

Nobody wants to see these random out of place musicals in 2024. Why don't studios just accept this?

I watched this film today and I am beyond disappointed! It had so much wasted potential and I really wanted to see Joker be well Joker and perhaps set up another sequel where he finally confronts batman or something anything that isn’t a pointless court drama that literally ends worse than the first film

After grinding thru 1:45mins of that movie the bomb scene was the only thing that shook me out of the snoozefest. Gaga was good but she never got enough screen time to marinate the relationship.

So basically the whole plot of the movie was never stand up for yourself. Take the abuse and like it or get beat down some more and get deleted.. who cares how you feel you are nothing! Submit to the powers that be! Thats the message of this movie! Get used and abuse and like it. While the first movie was the opposite. I strongly believe thats the reason this movie was mostly made.. to demoralize the little guy

The songs were subliminal conversations between joker n harley, or sometimes joker and the audience... It seems like this went over everyone's heads.. All songs were either a stamp in time, a way of communication or an expression of fantasy and all of them fed back into the characters motivations and even supported their storyline.... For anyone to say the songs were pointless, random or didn't add to the character or the plot means they just missed it.. Bc it definitely did!!!

Hold on a second, I don’t think Rio fully confirmed Teen is not Nicholas. Personally, I think he’s Wiccan, but let’s look at Rio’s words more carefully. She does not say, not Nicholas, or not your son, both of which would be clear. She’s more vague, saying, “That boy is not yours.” That sentence suggests more of a possessive quality., like “that pencil is not yours, it’s mine. An alternate reading of the line could be that boy is not yours because you gave him away; he does not belong to you, he belongs to Mephisto.
