I could not find any serious analysis of the philosophical ideas behind his work. They all stopped at the incredible amount and quality of work that Otomo and his peers has put into this piece. I still remember vividly how it has impressed me the first time i have seen the movie, i was very young, i could not understand, but something strong had happened. It is only years later that it would slap me back again more vividly than before because by that time i had built a more acute perception of the mechanisms at stake in this world. I also revisited tampopo, but again, i could not find a serious analysis of its ideas. I plan to revisit more of those wonders japan has left us in the sillage of its history.
