I don’t understand why people are hating on this plane? It flies beautifully and it has a lot of working button functions for it to be on Xbox. As long as you don’t look at the interior cabin, this plane flies and looks fantastic on the outside. Also, I’m not sure what you’re talking about “no trim”. The planes trim has been working completely fine ever since it released.

The 757 is the best looking twin jet IMO, Designed and built in the days when Boeing put engineering excellence and build quality over corner cutting and profit hence 757's still safely flying in their 30's I flew on a Monarch 757 to the Airbus factory in Toulouse in the 90's, I will never forget it's take off grunt and lovely sound of the RB211's spooling up! Liked and subbed!

I flew on a jet2 757 a few years ago and enjoyed every minute of it. I would not hesitate to fly on it again today.

This video almost brought a tear in my eye. I am from Bosnia and Herzegovina, a relatively small country in the Balkans. I am mentioning this, because, believe it or not, BMI baby also holds a special place in my heart. It was 2006 and I was finishing 6th grade. Because I was a good student, my parents decided to suprise me with a gift for my achievents: They bought me a new computer with a pre-installed Flight Simulator X together with the Traffic X package in it. I was thrilled and immediately sat down to play it. At first, I played various missions, but I eventually completed those and wanted to try out something new. I began to play "free flying" more and more and I began to notice a lot of different aircraft and airlines. But your video brought up a memory which was still stored somewhere in my subconcious but couldn't be accessed: The very first airport from which I took-off from and extensively flew around was indeed BHX, and you guessed it, there were a lot of Thompson and BMI aircraft. The most interesting from them all was BMI baby since the 735 is a sort of short plane in comoarison to the longer versions. When I noticed the character on the tail, I quickly called my parents to show it how cute it looked like. This happened in the first few days of playing FSX, which would later pave the way for my passion for aviation. I want to thank you for unlocking this memory I have which was apparently deeply rooted in my mind all these years. You earned a BIG like and sub from me!

Hey! I appreciate these videos, got it all set up and sorted thanks to these. (When using FBW A32NX), one small issue I'm running into is that the MCDU button presses do not sync. But that's strangely the only thing that does not sync, even turning up and down the brightness on each MCDU syncs great, just not the setup or anything whatsoever. Autopilot works fine if it's all set on my end, but copilot cannot see the route on his end, and is therefor unable to see things such as ILS, Glideslope, etc. If you have any ideas, I'd love to know more on how to potentially sort this issue out, but if not no worries and cheers for helping set up. I wanted to buy it on sale for 15€, but really if they are so stupid and lazy that they cant remove the 2 extra engines (if they are using the 747-8i) I wont do it. If they would put some effort to it - it could be very nice aircraft somewhere at the 1/2 or 1/3 price point of pmdg 777 and it would find its own customers...

It’s a 747 with 707 exterior..that’s it. Yes it free but, far from realistic. It “flies well” because none of the aircraft geometry represents the 707. If anyone was to simply look at the weights, the 707 doesn’t weight 700,000+ pounds. That a weight that is comparable to the 777-300. It’s something but, so unrealistic is only a 747 in 707 “clothing”.

At least there is a 707. I keep hearing from many MSFS and other sim people that the legacy aircraft are on FSX and that is what its for. Would be nice to see them in HD in the current sims of what we have. ....too many young kids obsessed with the current beancounters and twin jets over the classic jets with style!

Your review is fair. I know the guy who converted it from FSX and I was extremely happy when he released this B707 my favorite plane ever since 1969. The sound is from me and come from FS2004. I admit, very loud but superb real sound. I hope Aeroplane Heaven will have something similar or better. Have you seen the note I posted about the sound problem ? Here what to do to get no problem. To avoid sound problem on takeoff do this procedure For a 3 hours flight set your fuel quantity to 25% and 50% for 6h flight. Put the payload slider to zero weight except pilot and copilot to make it very light. Use 10º flaps position. Use parking brakes, increase power exactly to 79% until lift off. Sound get crazy at 80% Once airborne, activate autopilot to climb 1500'/min. and let him accelerate above 200 knots. Passing 230 knots you will be able to climb at 3000'/m to keep 250 knots speed at 79% At 10000' you will be able to increase power to 85% with no sound glitch. At 15000' you will be able to increase power to 90% Above 20000' you will be able to increase power to 95% This plane fly perfectly, very nice looking plane and do very nice ILS landings.

In Boeing you use both autopilots (you turn on both) Is it in Airbus different? I keep turning on both AP1 & AP2 and works flawlessly.

Sadly the Jet2 757s won't make it to 2025 they are confirmed to be retired before the end of this year

June 17th 2024, I was in PMI flying LS869, we got there on a 737-8NG, but then a week later, we was going back to MAN on a 737-800. until the flight got delayed until 12:10 in the afternoon, and the aircraft was swapped to Gulf, Lima, Sierra, Alpha, India, ( G-LSAI ), a 757-200, on LS870. this was a dream come true for me, as I always wanted to fly the 757, before its retirement globally, and I am happy to get videos and photos that will forever be relevant in my life, I am thankful Jet2 hasn’t retired all 757 aircraft, but it will be sad to see the airframe go in the next few years.

So if I'm understanding this right, we can both interact with the cockpit regardless of who has control, but the person who has control is the only person who can use throttle, brake, ailerons and stuff?

It’s amazing how Jet2 keep old planes running such as the 757 and 737 classics. Must be something in those Yorkshire tea bags
