Lyrics: You think to tell me who I am But you don't know me well at all Hide your head inside your hands And turn your back against the wall (turn your back against the wall) La da daaa... I meant to tell you I would go But now the words, they won't leave my mouth I think I'll leave before the snow I'm going south, going south (I'm goi...

Our take on the old-time murder ballad "Darling Corey," inspired by the Crooked Still version. Lyrics: Dig a hole dig a hole in the meadow Dig a hole in the cold cold ground Dig a hole dig a hole in the meadow Gonna lay darling Corey down Wake up wake up darling Corey Quit hangin' round my bed Corn liquor is running me distracted Pretty women are killing me dead Oh the first time I saw my Corey...

Beautiful!
I still love this so much 💘
I love this song and this particular version. Who are the members of the group?
Oh my! So well done. Perfect. Beautiful.
That was wonderful! Thank you for sharing.
Viscerally this song make me cry like a a small child....I appreciate that to no end
Love that guitar!
Mere you should work this into your current stuff!
Gifted young musicians! Such a pleasure to watch you play altogether.
Really great guys keep it up! Played along with you in quarantine, thanks <3
Midnight On The Water is a difficult song to play on many different levels. It can be rendered lifeless in the wrong hands, but your performance is the pleasant, peaceful interlude it is meant to be.
Lovely.
Aaaaarh wow Xmas day 2019..... this song got me playing the fiddle.... thank you for the jam
Lovely❤️😊
Love this! Are all you kids related? I'm so happy to see young people play the great traditional music (i don't like most of the new stuff). Keep it going and PLAY it forward to your kids. Acoustic music forever! THX
Beautiful! Lovely to fiddle along with :)
Very nice..lovely to fiddle along with :)

Wow, what an excellent rendition. Just beautiful. Great work!
Very nice. I play along with my D harmonica some of the time. Love your music.
Believe this is my favorite arrangement of this tune...dulcimer is a beautiful touch.
Thank you for sharing this video. You girls sure sound good.
Gorgeous!
Nice arrangement!
Well done ! Thanks
This is the best interpretation of this tune I've heard on YT. Lovely.
"Send me to work in tall buildings..." Interesting guitar chords. Thank you
Great job :)
Needs more cowbell
Tremendous. Just starting to learn this tune from yourselves. Thanks so much.
lovely!
Very beautiful...
Absolutely beautiful. Well done!
beautiful i love how you keep it so slow
I'm not sure if I can message groups on TH-cam, so I'm writing this here. I found you because a friend of me pointed me to your live version of "The Blackest Crow" a.k.a. "As Time Draws Near" a.k.a. "My Dearest Dear" a.k.a. "Banishment" and probably known as a lot of other things as well. You played in such a way that I was inspired to learn it myself, somewhat, and I hope to improve upon that to the point where I will play it at an open mic, two weeks from today. If you want to do some digging, mudcat.org, and probably many other places, have several other verses, which have been created by different people throughout the years. I'm glad to have listened to your other songs on this album (and live versions), esp. "Midnight on the Water", which I first heard played by Dave Bromberg Band. The tune "I'm leaving Cheyenne" (or again, called but a different name) may be instrumental, depending on who you ask, and seems to be the same tune (or a very similar tune, again depending on who plays it) as "Midnight on the Water". Skip Gorman, and possibly others, have lyrics, though I don't believe that he calls it by that exact name. He lives in New Hampshire (last time I met him), and is a very friendly musician who would welcome any questions about the music he's played. I love your style, and the lyrics you've selected, though I have my own version of "The Blackest Crow", which is only slightly different from yours. I'm writing this as a thank you for keeping traditional folk music alive, in your own part. Please look up other lyrics too, and please write your own additional verses; folks songs accrue lyrics over time, and some improve on the originals. Again, thank you. I hope to hear you in person someday.

too slow, bad study here, the song is faster and happy, but sung sad.
Very nice.
That was beautiful! Did you make that arrangement yourself or did you use one. I would love a copy!
We came up with the harmonies, though I believe we based our overall arrangement on some sheet music from a waltz book (not sure which one). I know a lot of people play it with two B parts, but we decided to only play one.
You don't know how much that means to me.
For a more banjo-y version of "Blackest Crow," check out this version: The Bard Owls - Blackest Crow
lovely version
I gotta have more banjo (and not dulcimer). oh, and fiddle left is lead so mando, what'choo lookin at? love the coffee/tea delivery service - wish I had that for my string band you guys have good sound
Love it. Thank you.
Nice harmony on the fiddles.
Very nice. Keep up the good work.
