Before it was Whitewater it was Smith's Super Shute. When I was a kid the owners went to the same church I did. I remember a party or two there!

A couple years ago at water works Des Moines Iowa last the train tracks by the big oak tree, me and 2 of my friends heard a really really loud deep growl and we all ran away and never talked about again I’m the only one that brings it up lol. But the strangest thing is it happened after I sparked A piece of Palo Santo wood. My friend thinks it was a cougar but idk man

I've been by that. Even before there were paved roads. My grandmother would go there when I was younger. We are related to most of the people buried there.

That's nothing they are in southwest Iowa in Ringgold and Taylor counties DNR and our Capital in Des Moines knows about them. They tend to stay around water ways and grassy patches. They have been known to kill chickens and sheep to eat them small like animals . One got hit by a car on State Hwy 2 only made a dent in the left front finder did not kill it or hurt it . Because it ran down a waterway embankment the people were in stock and called 911. They said it was a huge animal with black hair and 8 foot tall and stood up and ran off on all fours. County Sheriff said that was to tall for a bear and they found the tracks to be 16 inches long and 8 inches wide. There has been sightings up to 6 beast along streams in these areas. People do not know if they are dangerous or a threat to people . All I know is the state wants to keep this hush hush in order not to alarm the public .

They have now completely ripped down the water park.

What do you mean Bigfoot had never been seen in Des Moines Iowa ? I saw him in 1969 east Des Moines four mile creek , I was a kid and all the other kids in our neighborhood called him " the 9 foot giant " many of us kids saw him , I never believed it until I saw him , I know he is real and comes to this area following the woods that lines the creek . Never told anyone for fear of being called crazy , now that I'm old I don't care anymore . I won't go into the woods alone again .
