Great!!!!
Isn't the '_api/web' URI v1? In your video you say you're using v2, so I'm a little confused.
I landed on this post doing research for a project; very interesting. thank you for sharing. It appears however these conversions work at the entire date level, not at the hour level within a date. Interesting use case is computing hours worked during overnight shifts when DST changes. For example: Start Time = 10pm, end Time = 8am; duration = 10hours in normal conditions. On Spring change, duration = 9hrs, and on Fall change duration = 11hrs. I am thinking of creating an small function to identify the DST date and time change and an adjustment (+1 or -1) to the duration for these transition dates. Any other hints?
Great approach and thanks for sharing! Which visual is it? Looks highly customizable...
Thank for sharing!!!
My data have +50,000 records and is growing everyday. (I only need about 1200 records per query, but sharepoint is limited to 1000). I know I can filter the sharepoint query and now I know how to do pagination. But I can't figure out How can I use filter AND pagination ? everytime I try, I miss.
Concerning the possibility to select with close-by to get all your data in the tooltip, I don't know if it possible with Vega-Lite but I've seen today a visualization in Vega on an american map of airports in the documentation. They use a Voronoi calculation... I assume it could solve your case. I tend to assume it is smth tricky to implement...
Excellent video, thanks for sharing
Really nice! Thank you so much for sharing it.
i love you, and i mean it, have been trying to do something for hours and your video was absolutely perfect!!!!!!!
What does item size indicate. My downloaded pbix is small in size but item size is huge in metric app
The replacement of the switches was an eye-opener! Thanks!👍 Now I just need an AI function where I can say "Replace all SWITCH() functions with nested IF.EAGER() in my model" 😝
Try put it into o1 chatGPT
Very cool!! thank for sharing!
This works great if your files are all dated before the refresh date. I have data with file names with future dates - as data relates to future sales. Is there a way I could use incremental refresh for all files with current month or future months names?
Great video, well done
Whenever I am trying to use the field parameter, it asks me continuously to map the field when I edit the visual. Also it shows me to 2 attributes to map.
Loved the tool. Certainly gives more insight... Added this to my tool box
What a great tool! I have added it to my toolbox! Thank you very much!
Hi Pat.Thanks fr the video.Seems like provided file is corrupted.plz check.
Thank you! Fixed.
Hello fellow Hoosier. This is a great video. Thanks! I am using incremental refresh on a SharePoint List dataset. I am using the list's Modified column as the incremental refresh date/time filtered column. My problem is that I keep ending up with a few duplicate rows in the Power BI table. Not all are duplicated, and not even very many (only 7 out of 5200 rows). I suspect it is due to one record being in the archive partition and one being in the refreshed partition. The duplicates have the same ID, but are have a different value in the Status column, such as one being New and the other being Closed. I have ensured that when the Modified column is filtered by RangeStart and RangeEnd there is only one equality. Do you have any thoughts on what could be the cause?
I've seen similar. Can't think of a quick fix. Check out my blog on SharePoint list data as another potential approach hoosierbi.com/2022/11/12/updated-get-sharepoint-list-data-fast/
This is pure gold. You saved me a ton of headache. Worked first time and did exactly what I wanted. Thank you so much!
Very useful, thank you! What about storage page?
Really useful thanks. I think I've missed something on layers - I thought you defined a layer and added add the layers into that, but from this you actually add layers into each other? Btw have you tried sorting this timelines? I can seem to get that to work
Not all heroes wear capes (assuming you don't wear a cape).
Best comment I've seen in long time. Made my day.
hey it's useful can you let me know if i want to pass the one parameter to the report builder report and export the report into the excel.
Thank you for the video and sharing the details. Its very helpful. I am using same Entra ID mechanism but I am getting 403 error. Can you pelase guide me know what might be the reason.
Same error and can't figure out why
Thanks, I'm struggling to find the right configuration, where I want to use predefined color codes per product. Any tips?
how to get alerted if dataset refresh failed if the refresh is not on schedule and triggered via api from Power Automate?
A really interesting example here. Thanks for posting.
I just found today that I'd left my F2 capacity turned on for a few days (urgh!). I've now implemented your solution (although I found that the Invoke resource operation step now needs parsing (using parse json) to get the "State" to use in the condition. Thank you so much for this video. It will save me a lot of money when I forget in the future!
please share links for blog and doc
Is there a way to avoid duplicates due to the update of a record that is part also of the historical data?. I keep getting this error when running the refresh in the workspace. Column '<oii>GRP Number</oii>' in Table '<oii>Fact>' contains a duplicate value '46131' and this is not allowed for columns on the one side of a many-to-one relationship or for columns that are used as the primary key of a table. Thanks<1
This works and the notebook gets called. When the notebook finishes running correctly power automate then fails saying ""Unable to process the operation due to an error in the request".
Yes I get the same error. Would like to send a mail based on the Status Code I get
Check the settings of the Invoke HTTP action. Asynchronous Pattern should be turned off. I thought I mentioned that in video but apparently not.

Hi, I'm using MS fabric trial version and now installed fabric metric capacity app. Given the trail version capacity Id while installing the app. The app installed but the report is not showing any data. Any idea why this happens?? Please reply
Bro you saved me a lot of time. Thanks!!!!
hey this was really helpful but how do you authenticate. Because normally with sharepoint connectors I can log in with my credentials and its fine. However with the JSON REST Api method it seems to reject that.
Thank you for your video. I have already added the status (jalon) of my projects on the Gantt, I need to color the task with a specific color for each the actual status (jalon) for each project. Example : "name": "coloursDark", "value": [ "#DE5320", "#FFC000", "#92D050", "#00B0F0", "#0070C0", "#008080", "#B3B3B3" ], "on": [ { "events": {"data": "jalon"}, "update": "datum.jalon === 'En attente d''analyse' ? '#DE5320' : datum.jalon === 'Pré-mandat' ? '#FFC000' : datum.jalon === 'Mandat' ? '#92D050' : datum.jalon === 'Appel d''offres en cours' ? '#00B0F0' : datum.jalon === 'Évaluation' ? '#0070C0' : datum.jalon === 'Contrat en cours' ? '#008080' : datum.jalon === 'En attente de terminaison' ? '#B3B3B3' : '#000000'" } ] We should have the same code for the coloursLight. I try this and some think is wrong on my code. Thank you for your help.
What I great video. I just saved it for future reference. On thing caught my attention, when using the Linest/linestx functions, is there a P-Value column? Thanks!
Putting the Metrics app on a Premium Capacity is counter productive, especially if it is the capacity you are monitoring. In addition to Power Automate you can use Fabric Reflexes to be notified about exceeded thresholds. Oh, wait, never mind 😞
Thank you , this is really helpful
One thing you fail to acknowledge is that goes across the top of the chart which blocks the true results of the first bar while scrolling. Essentially "Product 1" stays no matter what.
thank you, this is really helpful
🐐
Thanks for sharing! I have a problem when trying to set up the "Invoke an HTTP request" action. When trying to log in i get the following error: "Create and authorize OAuth connection failed. AADSTS65002: Consent between first party application and first party resourcemust be configured via preauthorization - applications owned and operated by Microsoft must get approval from the API owner before requesting tokens for that API." Did you register an app beforehand in azure? Did you set any specific api permissions? Any idea how to solve this? :)
this a great video...but how do we apply this on an actual dataset? this will be helpful
thank you so much for sharing. It really works, amazing!! 🙂
Thank you very much! 🤩
Do you have any suggestion to a semantic model that takes forever to process after conncting to a sharepoint file? File has a little over 5000 rows with 16 columns.
This is Gold- thanks !
