Preventing Burnout: Why Your Passion Matters More Than Hours Worked
Finding the right balance between work and personal life isn't just about counting hours - it's about aligning what you do with what you love. In this clip, we explore how accounting professionals can identify their true work capacity and build a sustainable practice around it.
The discussion tackles a fresh perspective on burnout: it's not always about working too many hours, but rather about the disconnect between your work and your passions. Someone who loves the puzzle of tax returns might happily work longer hours than someone who sees it as a chore.
Rachel and Marcus share practical advice for both building and scaling back firms. They emphasize the importance of setting firm boundaries and having people around you who can hold you accountable - whether that's family, a spouse, or a group of peers. Marcus also discusses practical solutions like bringing in virtual assistants, implementing new technology, or outsourcing when needed.
For firm owners who've grown beyond their ideal capacity, the key is to start by identifying what isn't working and systematically removing those elements. While this process isn't always perfect, keeping momentum is crucial for success.

Thanks for making this video on Kynley’s journey in entrepreneurship. What working strategies does Kynley use to balance her work and studies? I’m truly inspired and liked this video plus subscribed!
She plans and schedules out her weeks in advance. She lists out everything she needs to do or has scheduled day by day. She knows exactly what day she will buy ingredients, bake cake layers, study for tests, go to coffee with a friend, attend a basketball game ball game, decorate the cakes, go to the gym, etc. Each day has an intentional plan with times of tasks, which allows her to fit in everything she wants to do!

Well, that wouldn't be a marriage..duh
you can make it how ever you want lol ,its called divorce. the downfall of most marriage is one person thinking it was forever no matter what so they don't have to try.
I don't believe in marriage and this would take away the meaning of marriage. Marriage is a religious contract that binds you to another for eternity
That would be great that means you can get rid of the b**** and get a new one
Realistically you would probably have to split household income made in that year
Totally agree & they could get rid of u too, if u didn't pass muster. Interesting concept.

What is up with these fake podcasts where there really isn't a podcast where they present general information even an ape would know?
One really good way to evaluate the importance of a task is to ask the recipient of the outcome how much it matters to them. Just because you think it is important, doesn’t mean the client sees the value. If the client *should* find value, it’s your job to help educate them in that area!
