I hope I'm not confusing you with all this info, remember I've never played this game, lol. There is no one way to play. The most important thing to remember is have fun with it.

Paulette got eaten fast. I've only seen that once before, congratulations, lol. The turrets & such not up front are probably distracting the stupid AI from running along the the wall to your front gate.

I see the celling on the small raise foundations is a problem, here's a fix. Add balconies to the cellings, put up the next celling & add balconies to that, etc. You'll end up with an upside down pyramid. You should remove the stairs, they're block your way.

When Hope's sentience reaches 100% you win. The easiest way to do this is having her do the research to raise her intelligence to 10. There are a few other ways. I've seen the difference made up by reaching 10 in crafting or something else. There is a balloon exposition where you go in a cave, end up in a Iron Maiden type thing that makes you bleed abit, but can boost intelligence to 10. The Explorer balloon trips are overlooked alot, but they produce alot of the breakthrough research. I think the cave is an explore, but could be a tachyon. Good luck.

Sending Hope away is brilliant. Put the rest in combat mechs & you should be invincible.

You can build up to 6 stories on all those raised foundations you made for the turrets. Just build celling on top of celling. You don't need walls or stairs. You can built turrets and missile launchers in each story. If you station battle bots on them, build a low wall on those stories to hide behind. This might be over kill, lol. More traps on the routes they take will kill some before they reach your base.

I heavily recommend the "stun grenade" to stun it, and to put turrets in front of the entrance facing towards it. I take 3 turrets when I go underground, 2 for the Queen and 1 at the back (1 - 2 Xenomorph will come), there is a turret loot box in the Queen room so I only ever take 3, but the "stun grenades" are a must IMO.

I guess I read your mind, just after I posted that you build several hundred traps. Great minds, lol

In here profile I believe it says something about Hope loving dogs, you should get her 1. Dogs are good for defence & happiness

You need a thermostat to control your heaters. I always wondered if you could send a Pacifist like Daniel out to make peace with the robots or the bugs, lol. Probably not.

Having only watched this game, I could be wrong...but could you try clicking on individual dead enemy bots to see if it will let you observe them? I believe I've see it done for breakthroughs.

If it lets you, observe the bots after you kill them, I think I've seen people get research breakthroughs from them. Your going to be getting a boatload of carbon, I saw 1 player build a raised foundation instead of a wall, the bots always went around to the entrance. It's got more integrity(?) & they can't shoot over it. Something nobody I've seen do is round the corners of your walls, you can build diagonal by zig-zigging them, might keep them out & give you better shots. I saw a guy who used hundreds of traps to wound & kill enemy bots before they made it to the base. I gotta try this game someday, lol.

This is definitely the place to try out charging your batteries with the 1.21 gigawatts from a lightning rod, lol

Obviously keeping Hope alive is the most important thing as you have noticed, everyone else is expendable, lol. More rebels will show up to help Hope. Hope has to reach 10 intelligence to become sentient. She can get married, that will help. She can also get a mentor who will offer her on of the skills. Good luck.

My mentor would say never give up, never surrender, but I'd understand if you wanted to start this over or even take a break from the stress, for awhile. I didn't enjoy watching you not bet the game, but I'm giving you a like for effort. Hey you saved the array,. If you play again, I will watch.

Maybe it will let you mine that rock in the water if you can build a dock or foundation out to it. Every time I see one of those flat top mountains, I wonder if you can jump on top with a mech, lol. If you can jump up, can you build up there? It would be a nice place for a missile launcher or a whole base, lol

I'm fairly sure you can move poles, turrets and other stuff if it's in your way, might come in handy, lol

When you get a bug warning, pause time, assign each person to their mech, then unpause time. They'll run over & get in. It's to save time. I wouldn't send the battle drones out untill your ready, they'll just speed the attack. Your mechs can jump faster than they can walk, if you need them at the other gate, jump over.

Lover's beds should be moved together.

I thought they had a machine that made electronics. It would be nice if they did. Is that a breakthrough research you find on a "Explore" expedition?

Here's a idea, might work. 1 block out from your array, build a raised foundation 3 blocks wide, no steps. Then build a celling on top of the raised foundation, build another celling on top of that & so on till it's higher than the array. Now enclose it with walls. Only the flyers could get to it without much effect.

Yikes that pulse rifle did more damage to your crops than the hungry pest, lol. The weakest of walls around each field will keep them out.

If you haven't yet, click on Old Equipment tab on the right. I'm guessing the wind & solar you build years ago is wearing out.

You can level land where you salvaged a space craft, lay out a foundation over it, then remove it, I'm not sure if you even have to build it, I only saw 1 player even try, lol. I'm 99% sure your going to beat this this time.

Your people could use earplugs so their sleep isn't disturbed, that's a minus 3 happiness. They'd be alot happier if they had a diggery Doo & hand pan. If they're not good musicians, the earplugs will come in handy too, lol

As a after thought, you'd probably have to watch her or she'll walk back without the mech.

Rather than have Samantha walk all the way around to scavenge those ship, put her in the little mech, walk over & leap down off the cliff. Do the salvage, get back in the mech & leap back up. It works in my mind at least, lol.
