I’m working on another video for Sunday and happened to google it today for that video and it says zones 5-9 they can be perennials so I’d say give it a try. But make sure they are “garden or hardy” mums and not “florist” mums. 🩷

But I also hate typing messages bc it can also be read with the wrong intent and people can sometimes add or project their own emotions behind words. So I always hope that people receive anything I write with the understanding that I’m being helpful and not rude. Yes!!! Best kept secret. It depends on your zone and which plants you have, but I’m Utah 7a high desert and mine do great. You’d want the ones that say perennial on the tag for the best chances! Some do better than others. 💚

@@5262janna​​⁠to be honest, I’m not sure I called it out in this video! I’m glad you asked because I’m working on more hydrangea content and sometimes it’s hard to make sure all the right info gets into each one!

Yes! Actually we both did; I let my garden get a little overgrown, and several praying mantis moved in and took care of my problems. I also used my scissors a few times when I found some of the grasshoppers. My neighbors bird food also helped attract some hungry birds to help out. And the bait we put in mom’s beds worked great for her yard. Her yard for sure has less grasshoppers than mine now. But I wouldn’t say my yard is seeing crazy amounts of damage or anything now.

I might hold off; what type are you growing! You’ll love it here 😂 I grow lots of hydrangeas. Big fan! And people told me that for over a decade 🙄 thanks goodness I didn’t listen. 🤗

The mountains! I have to remember to look up some days! 😂❤ they are so majestic. I bet your mums are gorgeous. What colors did you plant? 😊

Such a good question! They are so new I’m not sure of all the zones but I bet they are listed on the Darwin perennials website!

Yes! 😍 mine are right in between flushes and UGH I cut a bunch of hydrangeas; GORGEOUS bouquet and forgot and left them out when I was putting away my camera and THEY BLEW AWAY 😂😂😂 half of them ended up in my rose topiary tree! Too funny.

Yes I do! Which one were you looking at specifically? Hmmm not sure how to find out. Most things I root in water. But not all.

@@illustratorsgarden Yes my friend always remembers safety first I was a sailor on a carrier I remember all that wind on the flight deck I reminded my guys about safety glasses all the time up there you loose and eye it gone for good and I just saw how high your wind is…👍🏼👍🏼

Me too! Would you believe they came that way? Home Depot! You can even reuse them for a couple years.

@@carolgoergens9275 yes! I’ve got a couple grow bags in the back that I use for this. The main problem is the wind here is super bad (especially out front). But I’d love to get a nice big one to use! I just wouldn’t be able to leave it out. Do you have a brand you like?
