We start with a discussion of what the purpose of music and singing is and how we choose music for the church to sing. We hope the discussion is helpful to you...

I am literally dizzy from going back and fourth between Ephesians 2:8.9 and the fruit inspector . You cant be serious. You make me very uncomfortable... every single Sunday of my 53 year old life !!! Lord Jesus Christ save me from all of this nonsense !!! now, cleanse your fake channel !!!
Where is Christmas in the bible? Oh right it’s not, it’s pagan, try come out from among them and be ye separate, touch not the unclean thing and I will receive you, Christmas is nothing to do with Christ it’s wicked and God hates it repent!
21:33 What is being described here is exactly what regular Calvinism results in, in churches. It’s another reason why all Calvinism needs to be abandoned as heretical.
12:08 There’s no distinction between Hyper-Calvinism and Calvinism. The only difference is that people who don’t like Calvinism but still want to say they’re Calvinists, they’re in the IN crowd, say that they don’t believe in Hyper Calvinism. “Hyper Calvinism” is a term that was made up to distinguish between those Calvinists who recognize that of God predestined to elect some for regeneration, it means that he also predestined to not regenerate those who he leaves in their reprobate state. Regular Calvinism then, is just those who are unwilling to recognize that God’s predestination has both effects. They dislike the second half and like to pretend it doesn’t exist. These are the types of spineless, intellectually dishonest men who wrote the Westminster Confessions, etc.
11:15 That’s not what they would say. They would say that the call goes out to all people, but only some people are effectually called.
8:26 You can tell Spurgeon there’s good news, everyone has yellow stripes!!!
9:08 No, Regular Calvinism is just as much of a problem. Both kinds preach the Doctrine of Election, and discourage evangelism.
I’m very excited that I found this TH-cam series because my equipping hour class is teaching through this book. It’s a privilege to hear the commentary from the author himself and letting it build on what I’m learning from the Elders at my church. We are only on chapter 3 and I have already begun to grow a deeper understanding of the Lord's sovereignty and holliness. Thank you for sharing this, God bless you and your congregation
Thanks so much for the comment. We're very pleased that you're studying through the book and that it's been helpful. We've passed along your feedback to Pastor Scott.
Praise the Most High. Thankful for truth coming to the forefront.
Amen
I’m loving this mini series on Acts - thank you Chris :)))
Thank you Toby!!!
Thank you, Pastors!
The God of the Bible is merely a fiction.
Sorry to hear that you've come to this conclusion. How did you come to believe this?
@@kerrvillebiblechurch "How did you come to believe this?" Thank you for your care and concern. My conclusion is based on the observation that nobody has ever produced any falsifiable evidence to support the existence claim of any god in the last 5,000 years.
@@philhart4849 How much evidence would it take to move the needle on your unbelief? Beyond the shadow of a doubt? Reasonable doubt? Preponderance of evidence? With that in mind, what evidence have you examined and found falsifiable?
@@kerrvillebiblechurch The following have all been falsified: - Newton's Laws of Motion - Piltdown man - Phlogiston - Archaeoraptor - Genesis 1:1 to 3:24 Falsifiable evidence has the qualities of measurability, predictability and repeatability. Awesome teaching on the fruit of the Spirit!
Regardless... not irregardless
Absolutely fantastic message. Kicked us in the gut, but it was so good.
I always enjoy the podcasts. Getting to listen in on conversations of dedicated mature Christian men, always worthwhile!
Thank you Toby for sending this sermon my way. I hadn’t listened to and watched this last night when I first thanked you, but I have this morning. I don’t know why the usual link wasn’t working for me as I missed the live feed. I’m grateful to have not missed this centerpiece of this fantastic series of sermons around the Book of Acts :))))❤❤❤
A better headline/synopsis for this section would have been “No, God has chosen ALL people, not some people.”
Hello! I haven’t finished this podcast as I paused to get on with my work day and I will get to finishing and probably hearing it a second time :) For now, I want to thank you for your icebreaker conversation that led me to watch Remeber the Titanic which I’ve never seen before until just now. I LOVE this movie!!!!! Thank you so much! ❤❤❤😂 (joyful tears 🙂).
Should the government and church exist together like ancient Israel? No. That was easy. 😀
Yes I’m a jerk, a complicated jerk but a jerk nonetheless. Miss you. I hear you’re well.
I love this guys. I was seeking employment for a long time, nearly a year…. My resume had a extra curricular mention of being involved in bible study fellowship and I began to consider taking that off as that may be a factor for someone to not want me with their company. I kept feeling God would find me a place where that was embraced and truthfully why would I want to work anywhere where God and Jesus were shunned. I didn’t remove, didn’t settle, and I’m 3 months super grateful to be with a company who many share my belief. So much more popped out from this podcast for me as well - Thank you!
Jennifer - Thanks for sharing. So glad you've found a great job that you enjoy without compromise.
I really love the term. Habits of grace. I’m going to incorporate that in my prayer - no grow in them :-)
Thank you very much! Very helpful!
Very glad to hear your sabbatical went well, welcome back Chris 🥰
Great podcast guys, I love the strength of your group. Thank you all :)))
Love, love, love you guys. Icebreakers are a must to get to know you better so thank you all! I’ve to listen to the rest of the podcast and will before the weekend ends as I enjoy your shared focus on wonderful topics that are so well done. Thank you so much 😊
It would be the sin of unbelief. Once someone repents and believes in Christ for forgiveness of sins and for eternal life, the blood of Christ takes away even the most heinous sins one could imagine. Thus, if someone does NOT put their belief in Christ, and become born again instantly with eternal life, the work of Christ and the shedding of His blood does not cover and take away their sins. It does not apply to a believer in Christ.....
Thank you all. God bless your ministry
I believe we are flawed before birth in our sinful nature & that the curse on the world makes everything imperfect and therefore everything perishes. We are dying, in various ways. God does heal at his own discretion, but no human can heal. This world will pass but not the word of God. Matt 24:35
Everyone begin to babble. So babbling was created by God. Such as infant babbling. My question is, The people who believe in tongues are in fact babbling, right? As a language or sound that God created, God would know what the babblings meant & coupled with their hearts desires & intent, are they not conveying to God their longings, is it a form of prayer?
How condescending, & a copout. It's easier for us to learn their language then it is for us to take extra time to teach them ours? Just thinking, if I go to Germany, I will polish up on my German. It shows respect, initiative & that I'm not a dumb lazy American who expects other countries to cater to me.. People from other countries come here & they learn to speak English. Are Mexicans dumber then the rest of the world? How about learning Chinese since we have Chinese communities? Why do we set lower standards for Mexicans, as if though we were in their country, or they are thought of as not intelligent nor motivated, or we have to feel sorry for them or extend a courtesy to them that we don't with other languages who come. Don't you realize it's a dumbing down, rather than lifting up? No demands are placed on them to Americanize, as others do. Poor Mexicans, they're too mentality fragile to learn English so we must learn their language, right? People coddle & enable ignorance rather than empower through education. Stop doing them a disservice by keeping them ignorant. Keep them doing medial work for us. STOP DOING US SO MUCH FAVOR BY NOT EDUCATING US SEÑOR. WE ALREADY KNOW OUR LANGUAGE, WE NEED TO LEARN ENGLISH!
I am so appreciative for this podcast to be able to hear over and over again while doing chores, driving etc., so thank you again very much for this! :-) I just am coming across a thought through documentaries and things that how do we acknowledge the world in thousands of years as opposed to millions of years, yet where did the dinosaurs fit in with all that? It seems like such a silly question, but it just is a thought and question that I don’t know if you can help me work that one out but I absolutely love this doctrine and thank you again so very much!
Answers In Genesis website may be a good resource for you. Those are matters we have to wrestle with because they go against what's being taught in school.

Thank you all for this podcast and this recording on the topic of Anger. May our Lord and Savior be with you & bless your work. Amen
Love the icebreaker discussions and the topic de jour is always awesome! Thank you guys for your great senses of humor and bringing great thought into our hearts about our Lord.
Thanks for listening and replying.
Thank you guys for these great podcasts :). Nerd alert, I find myself every Wednesday at some point thinking to myself, “Yippee! It’s pastor podcast Wednesday!” Another note, I believe it was Toby who mentioned, about two podcasts past, reading Spurgeon each day and that some devotional writings were better than others. I read form that devotional book every morning too and sometimes thing pull at me in a great moving way while other times I’m feeling - huh? Anyway, thanks to you all again and I love the last two weeks openings of bible verse or not! :)))))
I gave up my child for adoption because I was afraid I would mistreat her as my family did me. I had to fight for my life bc my childhood was so volatile. We may come into the world flawed with sinful nature, but when your life from birth into teen years is hell & never feel safe, you grow into adulthood distrusting people & malfunctioning in every way bc there are no tools in the tool box, except for lashing out. They took out their childhood experiences & anger on me as they perversed & twisted the Lords Holy Bible to suit them. Making me hate God & run from him, the only real love I should have turned to bc I needed God to rescue me from completely unraveling and ending up in prison or dead. What happened changed me and not in a good way. I never had another child bc of my feelings of inadequacy & fear of myself as to how would I treat my children. I paid a high price for what they did to me, & still paying. Except for God, I trust no one. I am so grateful to my Father, He is everything & everyone to me. I don't know where I would be without His saving grace & love. As far as my family is concerned, I've forgiven them bc I realized they were & are broken by the adults in their childhood. Sad really. It doesn't matter anymore, even the pain is not so bad now that God is my Lord & Savior
Anger, frustration, hate or ire. One place in the bible comes to mind; Ephesians 6:4 Parents don't frustrate your children. Certainly there are abusive parents which cause their child to become a neurotic, impatient, angry, maladjusted adults without the basic skills to maintain loving relationships. This could cause the person to isolate & withdraw from human contact. Of course, the humans are lucky the person isolates. Better that then the same person lashing out & killing people. All I'm saying is; Satan is working against us through others even as we are children barely developing. It molds our little minds & hearts to see the world & our relationships not as nurturing & safe, but hard, cold, & combative. Where you have to fight or flight. That is a harish reality. Evil doesn't waste time, it changes little children at the beginning of their life.
Thanks Jenn for asking for this....
Thank you so much :))))
You guys make me laugh, and I really appreciate this podcast. I listen and look forward to it every week. It’s helpful in getting to know each of you and always encouraging especially since you’re leaders of our local church. Thanks for taking the time to do it!
Thanks for the kind words, Chelsea!
