@@TeamPaulie2520 I’ve played around with Subs in rifles in the past, came to the conclusion that for all intents and purposes my 9mm and 45s do the same thing for a lot less money. My AR-45 is giggle fun 😁. Kids get a kick out of it because of how quiet and soft shooting it is.

@@brianragland4750 for a lot of people their magwell was too loose from the get go and the system did not work. It was a poor design by Ruger that should have had a front post like the mini rifles do. Their solution when you called them was to spend another $35 on a magazine in hopes that would take care of their poor design. I have other AK platform rifles so having 1 magazine type is nice to avoid variables.

@@johninphx9360 I saw that they have updated their website to reflect that you can use the Stanag 7.62x39 mags. Such a better stock than the factory even though it adds weight 👍.

I've got it working in my personal rifle, I need to get my mill setup in place and then I can start offering them. My normal job has kicked my butt the last few months and I haven't made the progress I was hoping to on getting the mill set up and ready. My goal is to have all of the magwells I offer converted over to aluminum by the end of next year, and hopefully be working on getting my FFL so I can do Mini 30 conversions as well.

@@Hill_Billy_Without_A_Hill I’m not aware of any, but you could trim that ear off pretty easily if you wanted to and then it wouldn’t hold the bolt open

@@FireCastleCustoms720 Something else in the market, I am not seeing , is single shot mags/mag sleds for the 77/44 and 77/357 rifles. Might sound silly, but some guys actually like that at the range, and some places like IL require straight walled rifles to be single shot. I know its stupid for IL, but you know how IL is. So you can use a bolt action with mag sled, single shot mag, or no mag at all. Sucks that if you use no mag at all, the round is more likely to fall through bottom when you load.

Shoulda clarified, trying to decide which stock so I know which mag adapter to order

@@jfrausto89 both stocks require modification to work with my magwell adaptors. If you’re on the website looking there is the Magpul option and the Boyds option. For the conversion. The Boyd’s is more expensive as the process is more time consuming and requires a fair amount of work, but I agree that the wood is a classier look than the Magpul. I’m personally torn on which route to go on one of my personal rifles 😂. The Magpul is definitely heavier so if weight is a concern I’d go the Boyd’s route.

@@Purpletuty I don’t have any Igman to test. The velocity tests I can find are mostly reporting under 2400fps avg. if I have a chance to get some I’ll snag it for testing.

Infinitely smoother with the MOE pmags. With steel magazines its comparable because of the rought metal surfaces on the magazine lips.

@@FireCastleCustoms720 Will do. It is a new rifle and I put and Arken LH4 4-16 on it. So far I've shot 124 rounds through it all in an attempt to sight in and get a group. I've been trying all kinds of off the shelf ammo too. You can see footage on my channel.

For sure, I was surprised to see how much variance it caused but definitely worth finding what your rifle likes.

2" - 2.5" groups, very consistent but not as tight as I would like. Once I have time, I'll test the 40-45 in/lbs and hopefully we can find a sub moa torque value.

@@nickmedford7087 the bolts are the same but you would want to confirm headspace with a go, no-go gauge before swapping bolts in a rifle.

I tried to talk with them about it once via email and again when I was literally at the refinery across the street from them for work. Lets just say neither of those events ended positively.

@@h2oecho it is the Gen IV Aurora 5.56/308. It’s a well setup scope and good quality, but for me I prefer more magnification or the speed of a red dot.

@@FireCastleCustoms720 I've been really giving the PA SLX Nova some thought lately. I'm currently running a 3-12x50. It works well, but a bit to clunky/heavy. Maybe the SLX 1-10x28 would be a good fit. I dig what you're doing. Keep up the good work.

@@rangerismine I have a magwell specific to the Magpul Hunter, search my videos and it should pull up.

If all you're doing is punching paper anything is enough, I had a specific goal I wanted to achieve for a lightweight rifle and hunting load that was still very accurate. I think I've achieved that but I haven't had time to test it at anything over 100 yards. My plan is to test it out to 400 this weekend to verify drop and accuracy.

@@FireCastleCustoms720 I think because of increased BC and SD of 150 grain class bullets that the 7.62x39 does best with them and essentially can be safely loaded to be a .30-30 with ballistics approaching .300 Savage. I'm not a hunter. Paper punching is easy enough with most steel cased 123 grain cartridges. Especially with the accuracy of the Ruger American which doesn't have to deal with how a weapon is gased. My point was in pursuing an optimized load for all circumstances.

@@scottydouglass1892 I really like the 10’s personally. They are easy to manipulate during loading and reloads and they don’t get in the way of bench rest or tripod shooting.

@@mrpigx yeah when I first purchased my rifle in ‘22 I went looking for a set and could not find them. I haven’t looked for a while to see if the company that bought Nodak started making them again.

@@blackriflemensorganization6139 nothing really, I can claim that mine was first 😁. Their’s is aluminum while mine is a sintered plastic with some metal parts. Mine doesn’t need the magazine release removed to install or remove the magwell, not sure why they designed their’s that way, different strokes for different folks.

@@atranimecs I’m not sure on that, I haven’t found any literature from Ruger that says when they started using the removable magwell stocks. I do know that the action screw spacing has remained the same across all generations so a Gen 1 or 2 stock with the removable magwell can be used on an earlier Gen 1 that didn’t have the removable magwell.

@@joescott803 go buy the parts to make a product, spend the hours developing testing tweaking, and then make the product for people, and then come back and complain. I don’t force you to spend your money on it.
