How are things going for you guys?

I come from the south with long, hot and humid summers, and I wonder about these structures in the heat. Even having lived up north, heating feels much easier to manage than cooling. Anyone got tips for this? I guess you could even put in a minisplit if you wanted to and had the power, but even if so, insulation may still be an issue.

What is the name of your composting toilet?

You didn't mention the land? How big is your lot and how much was it? Permits and restrictions you had to deal with?

How do you and your wife have privacy/alone time when you and her and the kiddos are all in the same loft?

Who owns the land that the tent is on? I'd love to put up a tent/tiny house, but you can't just put it up anywhere you want. Does he have to pay any kind of taxes on the land?

I think a good idea would be to have multiple tents. One for sleeping, for for kitchen/laundry, and one for the restroom

too cheap! you got kids you need a full tub/shower for bathing and teaching good hygiene...plus just for yourselves....

screw the luxury travellers, they can afford hotels and air bnb's. I'd reserve these for refugees and even weary travellers in the most serious need who go no place to go and just so happened to stumble upon this (hypothetical) place and maybe they are outta luck. of course there would be sturdier shelters than tents but you have some cabana type gnome cabins and it's a good concept
