Yes, Yin's ultimate is his biggest selling point as a hero but his other skills can do a ton of damage with items and his ult has a long cooldown so saving it for priority targets is what I always try to do. Hope that answers your question😉

I personally like the venom skin more because the sound effects are smooth and because I think the hero model of his epic skin looks too much like his other basic skin. Of course this is just personal preference.

Thamuz is tricky to deal with but Arlott is kinda easy since his dash skills can only be directed towards me so he'll end up damaging himself once I get him in my ult. The heroes that I hate facing against are heroes like Popol, Selena, Aldous, Rafa or any hero that gives vision because they ruin my plan when I'm hidden in an amazing bush.
