I just came back to playing this game on an emulator. I was trying so hard to remember what was the name of this game . I had a bad ending before. As a kid, I didn’t know there were two endings. So i did it right this time and found out about this awesome nostalgic song 🎶 Thank you game for making my childhood wonderful.

Hugely underrated RPG

Very mid story overall, but it has my personal favorite Nina of all games, and the combat has one of the greatest mechanics of any RPG. It really is up there with Chrono Trigger and Pokemon in level of fun. Now I officially ended my Breath of fire series playthtrough. I rank them as such: 1- Breath of Fire 2 2- Breath of Fire 3 3- Breath of Fire 4 4- Breath of Fire 1

27 years later and awesome still

Unlike everyone else, I actually think this game was just painfully slow, everything took forever to load. I was expecting to enjoy it at some point, but it never came. I think development for the game was rushed because a lot of major plot points felt rushed near the end, the ending was lackluster and there was very little in terms of "actual" content in the last areas after the desert. This song was the only rewarding thing in the whole game, I didn't even like the soundtrack really until this song, and this is coming from someone who grew up loving BOF1 and 2 when they were released.

I traded this game in the second hand store for some pokemon cards I had back in 2001. Best trade ever. I first played it in 1998 when a cousin had it. Took me forever to find it but was so happy that I did. Sadly sold it for like 50 pence a few years back as I was low on cash, it was scratched to hell anyway. But the memories it gave are beyond priceless.

I was reminded of this game out of the blue visiting my parents home, and seeing my old ps2 gathering dust underneath my old desk. The first words of the song immediately came to mind. Funny because this game is a ps1 game lol.
