I like 65mm for full frame
Kinda wish their was some audio in temrs of watching something but other than that great video. Hope you get to show the Cato 2× in both s35 and VV
Hmm deciding between 35, 45 & 85 set for S35 (1.33x Komodo X) sensor or speed boost 45, 65 & 100 to FF? Shame you cant speed boost the FF 33mm. What do you think?
Have you gone past f/4 on the 35? Is there significantly less barrel between 5.6-8? Great stuff! Thanks for doing this.
Thanks! Yes it's almost the same look than f4 ! Very clean!
33mm best
Thank you for doing this! I also own a blue flare set and anytime someone asks we how these lenses look I only have footage from my projects which have a very narrow specific shooting scenario. I'll be sending them this instead!
Great video thank you for this! Which lens flare version were you using?
Thanks! It's the blue flare set
Chef d'œuvrer
Some observations i noticed. 1. 65mm and 100mm on S35 appear to have minimal lens breathing. 2. 65mm and 100mm on S35 have minimal barrel distortion. 3. 35mm and 45mm on S35 has very noticeable lens breathing. 4. T4.0 looked the best in my opinion for this particular lighting setup. T1.6-2.8 appears very soft. Is lens breathing more apparent on wider lenses than tight lenses? Also does the speed at which you rack focus exaggerate the lens breathing?
There's a little bit more breathing with de wider lenses but i think it's okay for a vintage anamorphic set! And no, I don't think so
focus breathing is not something anamorphic filmmakers care much about.
Thank you for sharing! Did you use the full width of the Alexa sensor 28.0 x 19.2mm, when shooting with the 35mm lens?
Yes it was the full sensor! :)
@@hugopoisson9837 this is odd! According to Blazar the 35mm has an image circle of 25x17mm. In other words, the image circle is greater on what's on the technical specs.
Bjr Quand allez-vous poster votre court « Pur sang » chef ?
