The rotary everyone loves to hate, the RX8. I bought this car with a cursed engine in 2020. Sent the damaged motor it off to be rebuilt and it came back cured. Cursed N Cured Cars - OvrHeat 300zx - Oil catch can installation. After going to the track, it was clear Ovrheat had picked up smoking. In this episode we will look at a partial fix. A catch can is highly recommended for the 300zx if you plan on taking it out to the track, blowby on the Nissans of this era is common once adding more boost. Yep, they kept producing them in Japan, and were even given a styling update. Very common for owners to replace the front bars and rear tail lights to the later model. @@cursedncuredcars Thanks for the reply. Just earlier today I discovered how wrong I was. Wow. As the 18 year owner of a 94' na manual I gotta wonder how that got by me. Awesome, good to know they remained available for more people to enjoy these machines.
Great video! When I bought mine they were still easily available but finding a nice example was difficult because lots of kids bought them and let the maintenance go which made it almost impossible to get a clean example. I went from Toronto to Halifax Nova Scotia to find a nice car. I bought and had to do everything on this car except the paint. I have a good z32 mechanic and I did some of the wrenching myself. Lots of time and money! It cost me 25 grand Canadian, which in USD funds is like 6 bucks (joking). The car pushes 600 wheel horsepower at 21 PSI. It’s been trouble free for the last 6 years. Maintenance is key. This car is the best looking JDM car built. I track the car and go on weekend cruises, still has AC and all wheel steering. Kids now watch everything online and they are missing the best part of cars, driving and working on them. Keep up the editing and can’t wait for your next video.
Thanks Dimitrios. Very much the same story here in Australia. I bought this car around 06 or 07. It had a melted piston and bought it on a whim with no intention of buying a car. I already had a love for them so buying it was a no brainer. Fixed it all up, and they story continues.
