Random videos showing Adelaide's local history, transport, weather and whatever else I think would interest others. Enjoy!
Qantas 747 - 400 VH-OJT "Fraser Island" Departing Adelaide for Darwin 27/3/16 - Army Charter
On a charter for the Army, this was apparently VH-OJT's second visit to Adelaide. Would be nice to see more 747's visit Adelaide before they are retired.

Intense Thunderstorm Directly Above St Kilda Tram Museum - 6 March 2016
มุมมอง 3598 ปีที่แล้ว
A sudden and violent thunderstorm hit the tram museum at St Kilda on Sunday 6 March 2016 at approx. 4pm. Some of the lightning and thunder was a bit too close for comfort when it passed directly overhead. The strike at the 30sec mark temporary knocked out power to parts of the site. Loved this series❤
so di I. It has been long time since I watched it last time. I should definetely rewatch it!
It wasn't a short lived Australian crime drama! Whoever said this has no idea, there were several seasons and each had more than 10 episodes!+
Keith was an absolute beauty reading the weather GOAT !
Used to catch the tram to St peters school get my Kitchener bun from the bakery where the tram stop happened to be

Love this TV series...
My dad used to buy 24 packs of wd40 from cunnos back in the day, $8
Smart pig Warehouse
I drove these Trams from 1989 to 1993
did you know david irving?
@@Heath-Gallagher yes, I remember him
It says "YEAH" at the end, How informal.
Remember the goodwood viaduct and the Reed beds viaduct at Henley beach very well. The termites held that one together lolo
fantastic footage!
I wonder if they are still there
And 2014 years ago in Adelaide at Ashford there was a thunderstorm brawl at houses Ethan Dong 9news
Would be nice if these Redhens were preserved by the NRM or SteamRanger instead of just left to rot. In saying that, it also would be awesome if the former train line to Burra via Hamley Bridge and Riverton was restored.
Ah, this footage is just priceless. And cor blimey, the old Marion English tube-style station sign and the old footbridge! In fact the station altogether, exactly how I remember it as a young kid, going to the Marion Outdoor Pool for OSHC excursions during the school holidays. And crazy how the signs at Woodlands Park looked so different back then too! Thanks so much for posting, brings back so many memories 🙏
Believe an old Glenelg Tram is at Old Tailem Town which you can visit all year round. Best to phone ahead just in case. $25 entry well worth it!
Bring these ads back for sure
Awesome old footage. I saw a VF white valiant towards the end and a Hillman Hunter so that's definitely 1969 minimum
Fire
Well that's one way to wash the trams leave it outside no one one can't complain about wasting water Mother nature washing the trams for you.
I also remember riding in the Red Hens from Greenfields to Adelaide especially on a hot summer day doors wide open for air they where the good old day's. Now very sad to see these grand old ladies that use to rattle along the tracks just sitting in Riverton doing nothing 😔😔😔
I wish I could find a longer version of this song, probably does not exists though.
Great music!
@@DDstxus Indeed, it is quite unique, I don't remember the series at all but this opening was memorable to me.
i wish i could find a high quality version :/
I love the music too. I am watching the series vía tubi
BLOODY Graffiti a blight on society as I have said before on other sites!😡😠
Yep, just like dogs pissing on a tree trying to claim 'their' turf. 👎💩
An Australian legend
Yes it's sad but in saying that ld love to have one of these old redhens rail cars why's that well with Abit of work it wood become my new home keep the out side as is and do up the inside and as well as that remove the engine out at all together and replace it with 2 genartors for power
is it just a theme song or is it a song from a artist ¿ can pls give song name
It was made for the show I think by Song Zu, I couldn't find it on Spotify or anything
A Composer named Song Zu made this track for the show. It is a beautiful work of art
check out the starseeds song - parallel life.. reminds me a lot of this and came out the same year interestingly enough.
@@Grandmastermoses oh wow youre right

wtf ?
What date was that in July 2004 Baytram 366?
I was born in 2006 but i lived around the last few years before the whole upgrade of the trains so I know how nostalgic it was
From the creators of Water Rats and Blue Heelers
The next train to Adelaide ...... LOVE IT!
I loved Keith doing the weather, hope retirement has been great for him.
He's just that lucky to have him a real privilege to come into South Australia Homes and give them the Weather forecasts they need to know Jeffrey E.
Remember travelling around Adelaide in these rattlers. Great on a hot day with the doors and windows open :-)
Hooking your foot on the door so it would not close. :)
13:30 was my favorite lightning strike
What were the Weather Graphics Look Like Baytram 366?
Murder Call (1997-2000)
There seems to be a lot of space around the Morphettville racecourse. Wonder what its like today?
Went to school in Morphetville in the early sixties, main thing I remember is the Lightburn factory.....oh and putting coins on the tram tracks
All that vacant land you can see in the film is chocked full of businesses now
back when the weather report explained the weather in detail
Very Very sad😂
Give your dog a 6 inch bone $2!.... TV was better back then 😆😆
