Jungkook is a Korean Artist, but this is like R&B/POP. K-Pop is an industry, not a genre. and BTS are Global superstars, and Jungkook is the main vocalist for BTS. They no longer fit just into the niche KPOP market. He worked with producers and songwriters from America, and the Dancers are well know in their field, I believe mostly American. He did his album "GOLDEN" in full English, which is his second language. oh, Jungkook pop star thanks for the reaction there are many more good things to see from him he's very cool. well, Jungkook released 3 singles one of them is this one and a solo album GOLDEN, he is a member of the K-pop group "BTS" who are going to return in June 2025 the 7 of the mandatory military service in Korea, each member released their singles in 2023. Jungkook also has solo singles when he was with the group like 'my time' I recommend it, there are several groups, well they 'bts members' their singles that they released are in different genres. react to Jungkook's time square please

This is Pop. Our boy just happens to be Korean. Also, his dancers in this video are some of the best dancers and choreographers in the industry and they even said they had a hard time keeping up when JK was on a roll.

No this is not K-pop. This is a Korean artist singing retro funk music. He is paying homage to MJ here as he is one of his big inspirations. Jungkook has transcended k-pop and is now a main stream western artist along with his band mates of BTS. Jungkook is the main vocalist of the group. Their group activities are on hold at the moment whilst they all had to do mandatory military service. They will all be reunited June next year. Before they enlisted they all did solo debuts. Jungkook had the biggest breakthrough as a popstar with his album GOLDEN. it's fully in English and has multiple genres, from retro funk and afro beats to UK garage and EDM and from ballads to early 2000s pop. He held a mini pop up concert in the middle of Time Square and attracted thousands of people with a 30 minute notice. HE HEADLINED Global Citizen Festival last year. He performed in Central Park for GMA. He also performed on the Jimmy fallon show. Jungkook also sang the opening ceremony song for the Fifa world Cup in Qatar in 2022. The song is dreamers. This MV has the Romeo and Juliet vibes that Leonardo Dicaprio and Clare Danes starred in. When Usher saw him perform this song he liked it so much that he wanted to jump on the track and so they have a remix performance video of the two of them together. He has 2 other MV on the album SEVEN feat Latto (UK garage) and 3D feat JACK Harlow (early 2000 pop, very reminiscent of justin timberlake) Alot of people were put off by Jack Harlows verse and so Justin Timberlake jumped on the track and did a remix with Jungkook as well. There is no video for that though, only colour coded lyric video.

thanks for your reactions! I must admit that it always amuses me when I see reactors who choose a random song from some country and assume that this is the sound of music in that country. After all, you can't make that assumption even based on the music genre. Based on one song from the US, would you say that all music in the US is the same? Additionally, the song you chose has practically nothing to do with Korea, but I hope you will listen to Jungkook's other songs :)

BTS sings all kinds of music so even they are from South Korea they have worldwide appeal The message is that BTS will be back with their fans (Army) after their military service in June 2025. Kpop is not a genre, it is an industry. People tend to assume because it says pop, that it is all just pop songs. BTS began in 2013, so there is a massive back catalogue of music (about 500 songs) for you to explore. BTS started as a hiphop group, but now cover many genres of music, including rap, pop, latin pop, edm, hip hop and much more. A lot of their best music is in Korean, so just put your subtitles on as the lyrics are very meaningful. They write, compose and produce their own music and write about social issues like mental health, social anxiety, societal expectations on young people and self love. The group is made up of 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, all extremely talented and experienced, with rappers starting in the underground scene, dancers in street/contemporary dance, but from early ages. Basically, most of them started in their musical endeavours at young ages, as they are now all late 20s to 30. They are all undertaking mandatory military service in South Korea at the moment (apart from Jin, who has just been discharged). They undertook solo projects just before they enlisted, but will be back together as a group mid 2025, when they all have finished military. BTS have always had solo projects and it is just a way to enable the individual members to express their own individuality and style, so when they are a group, they are still bringing this together as a whole. BTS have global fandom, called Army, with approximately 90 million people of all ages as fans across the world, most definitely not just young girls as is often assumed as the stereotype. Ages range from 20s to 70s for both men and women, because they are not a boy band that is just writing about love. In fact, if they write about love, it is usually multi layered and is not about romantic relationships, but self love etc. They sell out stadiums globally as the biggest group in the world currently (not just the biggest Korean group). If you want to really see how diverse and talented they are, you need to watch/listen to their korean songs. They made 3 english songs during the pandemic to cheer people up, but the korean ones are amazing and I prefer them. They are also known for their dancing, as they have a lot of complex and difficult choreography, which adds to the spectacular MVs and live performances. Some MV's to start: Black Swan, Mic Drop, Fake Love, Idol, DNA, On Kinetic Manifesto, Dope, Fire, Not Today, Airplane pt 2, Save Me. Live performances to start: Festa 2021, Tiny Desk, MMA 2019, Proof Live 2022. Rap line songs to start: Ugh, Outro Series, Cypher series, Born Singer, Baepsae (Silver Spoon). Vocal Line songs: House of Cards, The Truth Untold. To learn more about their backgrounds and a bit of their personalities and of course their names, it is really worth watching an introduction video. The Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mairi has the best summary and snapshot into them as a group and individuals, in my opinion.
