Sweet Autumn Clematis #fall
มุมมอง 1043 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sweet Autumn Clematis is another of my favorite vines..the wait for the beautiful blooms each year is worth it! Many people let them grow along the top of evergreen hedges and boxwoods. At a distance, it looks like snow covering their tops! Yet another treat for your pollinators. 🌸🐝

Physostegia virginiana (L.) Benth Beautiful purple flowers that benefit our pollinators! Gets it's name from the ability to turn the stems, by brushing by it ect, and it staying in that position for a bit.

Winter Seed Sowing Experiment & Cochins!

I'm always doing little experiments and I thought that 'hey, if milk jugs work for this, why not totes?!' Starting seeds this way gives you a jump start when growing frost hardy annuals and perrenials. The plants are much hardier than transplants! Just sharing how I did some winter sowing in totes..share your winter sowing tips in the comments section! I'd love to hear from you, and am always o...

Just a little peek-in to show how the babies are growing. 2 months old now, and I think there's 2 boys and 3 girls, and that's a ratio I can definitely live with lol. Looking forward to when they have cute babies of their own!

That is a different lavender but the bees sure like it now you need a hive so we can have some honey 😊love ya
Hahaha I'd love to, for honey and wax! I love watching the big Ole bumbles..love ya ☺️🐝
Boy the babies are growing and so cute can't wait until they lay and what a easy way to start your seeds you are doing great Sissy ❤
Thank you, mom! The chickens sure have grown quickly, and it never gets old to see those little seeds turn into something beautiful ❤
Thanks for the info I will look into this. Anyone else used this and like it?
😊❤🐣
So cute!!
They're alot of company and entertainment for me 😊🐾❤️

I miss you so much my husband you have my love forever rest with our heavenly father until we are together again love you always your wife forever
❤️ love you momma
What a peaceful and beautiful garden for you and the wildlife the white flowers are among my favorites love you sissy
I've always loved white roses, but now I want an entire section dedicated to all things white and silvery lol. Thanks for commenting mom, love you ❤️
Is this good to repelled ticks?
I can't say with surety, but I'd say so since it repels all kinds of insects. Maybe good to dust pants and boots before going on the woods?!
@BarbdWireNRoses1 thank you . I'll try it.
@@elianimallover5963 let us know if it works! I haven't went mushroom hunting this year but I started thinking, a handful of mushrooms werent worth all the tick bites 😬😅
@@BarbdWireNRoses1 oh no!! I'll try it and let you know.
@@elianimallover5963did it work for ticks?
Much love in Christ to you and your family. God bless ya'll. ✝🙏❤
Thank you so much, I truly appreciate that, and God bless you as well!
They are beautiful I can't decide which one I like the best They are a long way from home but in good hands I will let you know which one has my name on it hahaha
K, you know I'll give it to you 😄❤️
I absolutely love them
Good for us to eat and our friends the pollinators enjoying them for food and we get to also see the beauty of that and the plants come back every year how wonderful is that keep up the good work sissy love you always
Yet again, these were all started from a little clump from you! I sure didn't know I'd enjoy them as much as I do. Thanks for always supporting me mom, don't know what I'd do without you. Love you ❤️
Beautiful
As much as I hate the heat of mid-late summer, the beautiful blooms, bees, and butterflies are our rewards 😊
🙂
Been giving that misting system some thought. I am really not sure how I can incorporate that. Need to run water lines to the backyard.
@@gardenextra7415 this being my first year of building a little backyard nursery, we've had to be as frugal as we can and rigging up things that work, but don't necessarily look professional lol. I got the mister through Walmart I believe. It came with a lot of water line so it reaches pretty far, and you can add as many mist nozzles as you want. We got the sand in bulk from a local cement company. I had to wheelbarrow it off the truck..was an awful job! I'm learning what I need to change and tweak for next year. It's the absolute fastest way to root things.
What a beautiful garden and also enjoyed seeing your pretty chickens thank you for remembering our important pollinators love you and your videos
Thank you momma.. mostly inspired by you! Love you always...
You can’t lay eggs down that have detached air cells. Incubate them in a egg carton standing up.
I've actually tried that as well, and the results weren't any different for me personally, but for anyone who wants to, it can't hurt to try!
So sorry about your dad. Your video reminds me of me you're into a lot of the same things. My chicken's pant when it gets too hot and they were panting today. God bless and keep you♥️🌾🦋🌱👋
Thank you so much, it's still hard to accept that he's gone. He knew the Lord though, so we take comfort in knowing he's with him, and that we'll see him again ❤️ I just watched you newest video, your yard is beautiful! I need to have a better shade plan for next season. The tree trimmers for the electric company so kindly came and took out part of our tree line which has made it rough on things. I'm ready for cooler weather! Thanks again, take care ❤️
@@BarbdWireNRoses1 me too, I know when it cools off I will be able to function again. It's the extremes really get to me both ways too hot too cold. My shade this year was better than last year I'm always working on it. As I grow with my propagations my areas have to go along with it. I'm also working on a little nursery and I'm thinking it'll go online this year.
@@gardenextra7415 gosh girl, we do have a lot in common lol. I'll be trying to keep up with your channel and watch your progress. I'm a little nervous to sell online, but it's just a matter of learning and trial and error. Have you ever watched Mike's Backyard Nursery here on TH-cam? I've learned a ton from him about propagation and joined his members forum. I have a small mist propagation area, and am amazed how well things root under that mist!
Nice chicken bravo can l have Cochin Eggs for my incubator please 😃
So beautiful
Purina is one of the worst quality feed on the market. Good luck.
The best things to do are, fans fans fans, and dark places for the chickens to hang out in. The gnats will not bother them if they have a fan blowing on them.
i wonder if you sell chicks or hatching eggs
Hello! I don't sell or ship Cochin eggs or chicks at this time. The postal system has just gotten do slow and irresponsible that I feel it's too risky to ship. If things improve, and I have any available I will post a quick update here on the channel and on my blog Thanks for your interest! -Cheryl
do you have any other pages besides youtube channel?
@@blertonjaha9060 yes, I actually have those links in the description box.. Facebook, Instagram and my blog.
My dog ran out the door 3 times and back the 4th she finally did her business. We have snow in Texas today.
The weather has gotten so strange. Mo is all over the place and we don't have normal Winters anymore for sure. When it's bad out the dogs can sure run a person crazy wanting out and right back in 😄
I also had two mini cochin hens raise the babies together, taking turns to school them.
It's just the cutest thing ☺️
This was such a fun video to watch just what I needed today thank you sissy
Glad you liked it! They were pretty cute and it's fun watching them..hours of entertainment ☺️
Let me just add, you don't HAVE to feed the supplement, or if you can't, just try to feed a source of animal protein to give when possible, greens and other things that have higher levels of vit A, D, and E. Thanks for watching!
Just wanted to say the feed and all the wonderful care that you give to your chickens shows because they are healthy and beautiful
@@ritaruessler3427 I appreciate it mom. You and dad gave us the wonderful gift of growing up on a farm and having many kinds of animals, including poultry of all kinds. I think animals have been some of my best friends all of my life, including chickens like Henrietta. 😊 Thank you, and love you!
you sure do have some cute little chicks,, our quail like crumbled up fried eggs I imagine any type of birds would like that.
Oh lord yes lol..they love scrambled and boiled eggs! It's really good for them too.
Hahaha little cuties they are afraid won't be long before they run to you sissy for a treat pretty little babies
It doesn't take them too long to figure out that snacks are a good thing 😄

What blessed chickens to have such a caring and smart mom
I learned from the best ☺️ love ya momma ❤️
that's a good idea you can find those on yard sales for practically nothing.
Yeah it seems everyone has went to instapots. We have both but I will never give up cooking in my crockpot lol. This one Im using for the chickens was an old extra that really didn't cook just right anymore, but it can keep water warm for them during the day 👍
@@BarbdWireNRoses1 our big oval crock pot burned out, at first my wife said she didn't need another one since she has the hi-tech model , but she soon found out they are not the same so we went to the store and bought a new one like the one she had and used so often.
♥️
they are very cute and soft.
They sure are 😊 Someone said that chickens have become the new dog..I don't know if I'd go that far lol, but Silkies especially, have become very popular. Thanks for stopping by! Looks like we're fixin to see some more extremely cold temps in Missouri?!
They all look like they are so loved and very well taken care of also looks like you have a good farm hand to help his Nana with the puff balls
@@ritaruessler3427 he's not as interested as he was but the video games are hard to compete with 🤦😄 Thanks momma, soon we have to do a "grandma's garden" video 🌱❤️
Very good information to help keep our chickens healthy love watching those cute silkies
Thanks so much momma, you are still the chicken queen though ☺️🐥
What a good little girl, bet she thought 'that was quick'! I got my broody Goldtop some eggs, but she went off being broody so they were mostly in incubator (& in a dehydrator!) gave them back to her last week & she sat & hatched 2 - then she died 😥so I reared them under a Titan brooder. Love silkies 💛

I was just a kid when my grandpa, dad and grandma would render lard, my grand ma would sit in a chair behind a tub of guts and pull the fat off the outside of the guts, they didn't waste much of anything in those days and naturally do like you said use the hog fat, I can still remember that smell,, I didn't care for the smell, it would be best to do it outside. lol , I mean the smell of cooking the fat down.
Oh absolutely, mine made head cheese, blood pudding, cooked chicken feet...ugh, no way I could eat those fine things unless I was starving to death lol! My family were hog farmers so we ate alot of pork, and lard was of course our main fat and even used to preserve meat.
