This was very early arrival and in the middle of nowhere. There were two engines on the Alpha side. One was protecting the exposure by knocking fire building one and the other engine sent two firefighters in through the Alpha side to protect this exposure. They were ordered to evacuate when the structure flashed. It was all a matter of time and scene access.

I'm guessing once the fire took hold there was no realistic prospect of fighting it. It just became a matter of containment.

@@greenpedal370 It was an issue of getting resources there and establishing a water supply. It flashed so fast by the time sufficient resources arrived it was about protecting a 3rd exposure.

I was taking stills with my DSLR, wasn't focused on shooting video. I posted this with the RAW because its better than nothing and still conveys the drama in the situation.

So our department pretty far away was on standby, I was driving by and heard it come over the radio. I rolled in behind the first due engine. This video was taken when only the first two engines got there and due to the rural nature of the fire and the long tight driveway manpower was an issue. A small vestibule connected both structure and fire building 1 had all doors and windows closed. Once the fire found all the oxygen it just ripped through. I plan to make a video breaking down the fire at some point. This was the biggest response in our county in a very long time. Im glad I was there to document it. I would've tried to help but didnt have my gear.

Forgot to answer the first part. Look up Brunton Dairy fire and you will find it.

Could have gone very differently seeing as how quickly it went up after the two firefighters evacuated. Glad they got as many as they could out.

One firefighter was seen and maybe transported not sure for dehydration. All but about 10 cows got out of the exposure. Not sure on the first building many got out though and a 3rd exposure was protected successfully.

@@moregltfirephotography4857 Issue, my dad said no to the chase part, plus we wouldn’t be able to get up there till early 11:00 but we may be able to catch up to you , I really like the dwarf signals at Branch 1 but can’t venture that far for Sunday. My other favorite signals are Vanport so if we could possibly meet up for that. Like I said i’m not 100% exact on when C65 leaves Conway or enters it. I’ve only seen it at Rochester.

@@Wesley45454 Alright, What day are you thinking? Well Mason is annoying lol. They get OD at 0600 t0 0700 normally. To RD 1 in Beaver at anywhere from 0930 to 1100. They have been tieing down in Conway until evening but we could catch stuff at Rochester for a bit first and see. Just let me know, I look forward to seeing you. Thanks.

@@moregltfirephotography4857 Yea but me and my dad run a tight schedule we usually have to be home by 6 and Rochester is a hour drive so. But if there is a train going Bayard I would like to see it with the PRR signals.

Wonder what you heard because it didn't explode that night, unless you mean the controlled breach. Ive never seen anything like it in my life. The 2020 ERG says not just Vinyl Chloride but ANYTHING inside a tank car involved in or near a fire needs an evac area of 1/2 a mile for responders and civilians. The command center was .1 mile directly downwind. Its a damn good thing it was so cold that night or they probably would have had a BLEVE that would have blown everyone up. It was 2 hours before NS found out they were actively fighting the fire and were like "What the hell are you doing everyone needs to get the hell out now"

Well if your there right now your not going to get any BLE action so I would go to the BPRR.

@@RadicalRailfanner daily ore in the mornings south to North Bessemer and back in the afternoon. Ore through Butler is around 0800 normally. Misc runs with BLE power occasionally, I would join the B&LE Facebook to get heads ups.

Well I was basing the head end at Midland when the rear was at 8.2 and assuming they called the signal around 11.2
