@ameliacrossing I hear ya! The hashtags don't work anymore unless it's new and less. Only the popular one with many likes are there, so its hard to be known or on the top in those hashtags.

Just so you know, if you use the three tile wide road, it may not work well with bridges. I found it difficult to line up the stone bridge with the roads.

Yeah, that's what I like about the Harv's Island co-op. You don't have to wait for all the colours to appear in the shop or the Nook Stop.

@@ameliacrossing Yet what a pain having to run off to Harv's Island all the time. Seems clunky, until looking at other ACNH wannabe games, that do not measure up at all. At least it fattens up my catalog order options, being able to order in the color that I want to begin with. Also an incentive for random-color Lego-brick designs, yet the Sunday home evaluations keep on pushing that we get a higher score for having color-coordinated homes. Like is there a reason that I should care to get a higher score? What will I get for it? Perhaps yet another useless trophy that I have no room for? I seem to now always have a few extra Castle Walls in my storage, that were the wrong color or not needed, or I miscalculated or used Medieval Walls instead, and maybe I just ordered more, especially since Cyrus only needs but 5 hours of sleep, from midnight until the 5am game day reset. Quicker to just place an order than to go run to Harv's Island to get the color changed. Of course those extra Castle pieces are handy already having them, easy to change the color to what is needed, when Cyrus is awake. Convenient that my strongest character happens to have 20 million bells entrusted to Tom Nook's personal bank. I hope he does not decide to run off with it all and disappear somewhere else in the world? I have most of my 8 human players' debt for maximal expansion paid off by now. But then Tom is so rich now, why-ever should he need to run off to somewhere? He and Isabelle probably have massive apartments in the basement of Resident Services, and legitimate investments in other nearby islands. How in the world did he manage to create his own currency with zero inflation anyway? How does a mere raccoon become so clever? He probably did not go to the government monopoly schools, and he probably does not watch hardly any TV. I love how there is absolutely no taxes and no utility bills. Yeah, those Science Pods look like free-energy machines powering the entire island, why not? My island appears not to be under the flag of any country, and we get a Tier D passport that at least is useful for a few nearby islands, and has no expansion date. What a dream, you do not even have to live on the island to get citizenship, just spend but 1 day and you are good, maybe you should at least upgrade that tent to a hut, I wonder if a tent and mailbox could not be ragged after being abandoned for 3 years of non-game play? My island may not necessarily be the cheapest place in the world to live, Tom's home expansion fees tend to run quite high, but it is an easy place to get rich without too much work, with zero chance of going broke. Now if somebody could just tell me the GPS coordinates for my island, and I could find some private chartered airplane to take me to there for real? BTW, want to own your own high-end telescope? I hear that is possible, the best ones are located at some high altitude away from city light "pollution" and operated and viewed via remote control from your computer. No need to actually be there. I suspect nothing within my price range though, and so much free imagery on the internet already. Another expensive toy for the rich, like those nifty new almost-self-driving Tesla cars that I keep seeing more and more. Hey, be glad that the rich get the toys first, otherwise, nobody would ever get them. The toys tend to become available to everybody, once the markets expand and the prices drop. A half-century ago, only the government and universities could afford those fancy computers. Now everybody has their own computer residing in their phone. Whenever Redd visits the secret beach, I try to make sure that I check out his offerings. Yeah, I know he is a con-artist selling a bunch of fake art, yet he unknowingly lets some legit stuff sneak through. His stuff is always overpriced, yet the 2 items that are not art-work, sometimes are a good buy, if not something already in my catalog. I have found a few items that way. I have no need of his fake art anymore, now that my art wing of the museum is complete. If only the bugs and fish were so easy to complete?

@@ameliacrossing There are several options with a lot of the items we carry in our pockets, that the item can be customized, without having to draw our own custom patterns. I don't think that the game can help you much, if you simply can not draw your own patterns. I can draw some stuff, not so much other stuff. I appreciate the game encouraging me to actually draw my own custom patterns, but I have used up most of my custom slots, yet I still have plenty of the Pro Designs, so I am trying to find more uses for those, such as my lately faux buildings built largely of custom pattern Pro Designs standees. One of the reasons why I could never build my own designer islands like I see these YT videos of, is because I should have to trash most all my custom patterns just to make room for all those custom patterns that the person used to design their island. It would so nice if I could spend some miles to purchase an extra 100 custom slots. Or maybe even 1000. If by some miracle, Nintendo was to release a software update allowing us to have multiple islands on the same Switch, would we easily carry items and our custom patterns from one island to another? All the more reason why we should need far more custom patterns slots or even tabbable sets of custom pattern banks.

I prefer having the photos because its framed and smaller. It was a nice little goal to set and work towards.

@@ameliacrossing Both are 1x1, so neither takes up more space. I do not understand how people can be so good at this "cozy" (relaxing) game, making things that seem nearly impossible to me, seem to be almost easy. How do people build their islands over and over? I get a new idea, and steadily my island fills up, so implementing new ideas ends up being limited. I have gotten some great ideas from these YT designer island videos. Maybe I am a bit introverted and anti-sociable, because I often do not talk to my villagers, because they say the same worn-out lines over and over (somebody did a lot of work to program all that dialog), unless I realize that I am carrying some cheap fruit or harvested crops that I can give them that I have not quite made it to Nook's Cranny to sell, or I see that their lights are on inside their huts, maybe I can get a free recipe, yet I already have most of the recipes, and recipe cards lying all over waiting for my other human players to pick them up on their turns, only to realize that they can not learn it either because they already have. Recently I just tried the pirate birds pyramid-as-roof trick for yet another faux building as if my island was not crowded enough already, and then got carried away building even more of the Pro Designs standees facades, I had use the block fencing for the upper floor, put that back away and put up cooler-looking castle walls, but removed any walls on the West side, because need more space and was not fitting so perfectly anyway. Now I have 4 new street addresses for my latest creations, and lost now not only my major tree grove, but the minor one also, just to find enough space. But at least my stairs to the upper floor showed up this morning, and most of the stuff I ordered. After decorating, I realized that I need a 2nd desktop computer for the other side of that desk, for my mad-scientists' laboratory or my video game business whatever-it-is-supposed-to be, you can read the name of it on the standees I stayed up late last night finishing up. That was my last Incline, Tom Nook is unable to build me anymore for some reason. I can't think of a reason right now, why I might need another. Surely the game database will not explode with merely an 11th Incline? But then I have 2 stairways to nowhere, because my island is too small. If I can not build it any bigger, then I will try to build the illusion that it could be bigger, hence the 2 "stairways down to nowhere", to the caves below. BTW, the video game ICO, about the first game I played on my Sony Playstation 2, had a really cool looking cave. An actual big video game cave that he could swim around it. But the gate was locked, no way to swim out into the ocean beyond.

@@ameliacrossing I think Orville and Wilbur got the contract, because they underbid everybody, and Tom has some deal with Harv that they were able to work out free flights to and from Harv's Island. Dodo birds apparently do not have as much need for a high level of income? What a deal. Developing a "deserted" island with a waiting plane there at all times, just in case anybody needs to leave and go somewhere for a while. Sort of like having your own personal car sitting in your driveway. Wow those are some tiny airplanes, did not even need a runway. Could hardly stuff all the stuff and crew at the start of the island, into the plane. Well I guess you get what you pay for?

Yes, the castle pieces would work great in that kind of build.

@@ameliacrossing I just yesterday figured out that my castle walls were too tall on a fake building on my island. It is a 2 story store complex hiding a cliff-face behind some storefront Pro Designs standees. So the 2nd floor has furnishings, the 1st floor just a faux front that can not be entered. It suddenly occurred to me, that I do not have to go back to the original boring stone fence wall, I could lower the wall to the 1st floor level simply by digging out the cliff-face beneath it and setting the wall down again on the lower level. It does look better that way. The standees are only good for facing south. They look awful from any other direction, as in looking fake. So any other walls need to be made of something else.

Sometimes I like to read the dialogue and torture myself a bit.

You need a good internet connection and editing software, a USB microphone with a boom arm to mount on your desk, an Elgato capture card, and a Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, you cannot record gameplay on a Switch Lite. I had to purchase a new switch to start recording my gameplay. It was a pricy set-up. Also, I record my gameplay with a Mac, while most people use a PC.
