Shrillix88 the conductor chooses which tempo for the orchestra...... maybe he is doing the recordings ‘slower’ so you can play along when you start out with it. I’m playing this in junior high and yes, we are playing it faster, but it is helpful to start somewhere and not push a fast tempo right away. I think his main goal is for people who are intermediate level musicians (students) that are just handed the piece can work on it first slow and then gradually get faster and better at playing it. You have to start somewhere, and you don’t know this guy’s intentions either. He even could be a teacher, and recording it for his students.

Shrillix88 also, music isn’t always about playing it super fast or at a ‘correct tempo’. It matters that the music has feeling and you can understand it. You don’t just play because you play. You play because you enjoy music. If you play just to play, then you feel nothing in the music, and you cannot add passion and really enjoy the music.
