Another FANTASTIC deathcore band you should check out is Disembodied Tyrant and some specific songs you'd like is Death Empress and Winter but if you wanna hear something that is truly under appreciated in my humble opinion check out Burial Path they only have 3 songs but they are fantastic and their vocalist is probably one of the best female deathcore vocalists I've ever heard Also A Visceral Retch is more of a callback to Whitechapels earlier stuff from like the '07 - '08 days

In terms of emotional flow in the music, it seems to me like it goes from grieving toward celebration and then finally acceptance at the end, leaving us only with love.

They were a bit more careful with yt compression problems. Bits of Floors own solo album and Northward style singing! Tuomas déjà vu themes. Did you catch the shout-outs? "The Butterfly Effect"? [For the Reactors!] Dancing, in the daylight [Dancing in the dark?] Never Ending Story? Those smiles and grins! It's building... Ominous horns The model of the boat, lined up with the clouds, looks like a twister, just in case you missed it, it's repeated :) Raining ash [Pompeii?] "An island of past wrecks"; The Antikythera mechanism (the next track). Endless sundown [Sleeping Sun] Meadows [Of Heaven] "Mad despair!" Hi Beautiful album melodi epic spiritual and because I am from Greece the song Antikithyra meganism is from Greek history this meganism exist in the Museum in Athens and is the First Computer of the Hall World.And the Arheologist try to find how it works

I have rated the whole album as "Auri on Steroids", that will be the direction for Tuomas's future composing and I love it.

Spider Silk lyrics could have been written by Tolkien (no, not about Shelob), and funny: in Dutch a spider is called spin

Really wish they had kept the classical choirs from the intro throughout the album. I missed the choral work NW is known for in this one. Still a gorgeous album.

For me the best is The Children of Ata and the one that I cared the least is Spider Silk. The community kinda makes u think the "worst" song is Sway, but I like it a lot. The weave was at the bottom too until I realise the lyrics were mirrored. That was such a cool detail and effort that made the song better for me.

This album has exceeded my expectations. The more I spin it the more it grows on me. Great reaction!

Tryed to rank the album songs, i think its a pure masterpiece!! i listened to the album several times by now, and i have to say, the mix is perfect!! instead of just getting Floor, its a wall of sound, that is very much a part of creating the grand journey this album is. Something whispered follow me might be top 5 nightwish songs ever. Every song on this album is at least an 8/10 I am very happy with it. Toumas has still got it!

What a powerful album, really outstanding music, melodies, and arrangements. Even the final mix I find outstanding in context of the album as a whole, being a wall of sound. O, and have anyone mentioned Jukka on bass and Kai on drums, man..... All of them are💯

Small correction, on Hiraeth, Troy is singing parts in Welsh, not Finnish. Hiraeth is a Welsh word that describes a feeling of nostalgia/longing for a lost place from the past :)

I noticed that on my "gaming" headphones this album sound almost too stuffy, probably because nowdays most headphones come with a 'bass busted' type of config. But then I tried with my openback 'balanced' headphones and it sounded way better

I think not dark, more nostalgic.

Nightwish is their own genre and no other band comes close to the level they are at. Never, in the history of music entertainment, have a set of skills and talent collided in such powerful manner. Tuomas is a true genius as a composer and with lyrics.

Floor looks absolutely stunning in this clip and her voice.....what can one say that has not been said?

Tuomas Holopainen wrote it as a reflection upon his father’s passing in 2021. He reflects on how we have been blessed to have had lantern lights who have guided our lives and how we in turn should serve the same role for others. It is about our love for each other. The Welsh and Northern English word "wynde" means a narrow lane or alley between homes. Basically we walk that narrow alley between our ancestors and our descendants lighting the way between generations until we become the ancestors when we walk into the yesterwynde. Gone is the hurt, the wait, gone is the warmth of day. A stray boat saved, happy memories engraved, on into a velvety night, beneath a lanternlight. Last night brought the heaviest of snows melting the songs of old, tying the boat, write a new one soon, sending me to the drowning moon, far above a lanternlight. I'm in the light and flood, I'm in the four winds, I am the waves shaping pebbles flawless gems, I am the snow on your palm. I am the secret stream, moss beneath your feet, I am you who climbed off of my back not long ago, a sheltered song in a world now gone, petrichor, the timeless. Turn loose the swaying boat, meltwater, sound of spring. I hear our song now, sung by the free, for a thousand more tomorrows of an incomplete weave. To the meadows I go, I’ll be waiting for you once upon a lanternlight. I walk now toward the trees, I am the secret stream, the night falling at my feet into the forest of Yesterwynde.

Reaction and review both would be great! Nightwish albums usually take repeated listens to absorb and properly appreciate, but this one is more experimental and progressive than ever. Particularly challenges any and all expectations - melodically, harmonically, stylistically. One thing I noted: this is the first album since Wishmaster than does NOT have a long (over 10 mins) standout centerpiece. Instead there's something "left of field" on every song that stands out as unusual. Thematically it ends the trilogy that started with Endless Forms, but I feel it's different in every way. EFMB leans toward catchy and poppy in a Eurovision-esque way, this album is almost the opposite of that - it embraces strangeness, the lyrics are more imaginative and open to interpretation than ever. The director of the video by Stobe Harju, who also directed the film Imaginaerum and the music videos of "Noise" and "The Islander". He is my favourite collaborator of NW in the visual medium, his work always has a very distinct style and quality.
