Roundhouse SR&RL test steam of my live steam locomotive - now ready for sale!
This 2012 vintage Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes loco from Roundhouse has had very light use, but does not fit in with my current gauge. So prior to selling her I thought it was only right to have one last steam up before I say goodbye to her and let her new owner have much fun! No doubt this will appear on "the bay" in the near future.

This a is short video of my good friend Richard tending to his grass and literally, making hay whilst the sun shines. It goes to show you just how much work is entailed in making livestock bedding and feed. I find the whole process strangely mesmerising and relaxing too. I hope you enjoy the short clip.

What a great afternoon and evening to be able to get up close and personal to 'Sir Nige'! The weather was stunning and the NVR laid on a treat with loads of static photo-opportunities and six fore and aft run pasts in and out of Wansford station. This was filmed on my Insta360 X3 camera and the stills were shot on my Fujifilm X-10, with processing achieved with Easy HDR and Photosketcher. Enjoy...

Well, here is my 1st test shot with the new Insta360x3. I have been working in broadcast TV in the UK since 1990, and whilst I do not share such footage usually , I have to say that this camera is amazing. With only a few edit points to change the viewpoint to, this is something that anyone can do and the results are simply out of this world. Oh - and the disappearing selfie stick makes it look...
A lovely railway that, a nice mixture of trains, running in nice surroundings, the music was nice addition too

You won't believe it - I had it on the invisible self-stick and just shoved it down the front of my jacket. During the ride it was wobbling about all over the place. In fact - if you look at the shadow of the stick and camera you can see this. So I really hoped for very little usable footage, but was amazed when I looked at it back. Due to the in-camera stabilisation - it looked rock solid. Amazing really!

Thanks - yes it is quite a labour intensive process. There will be an update to this video soon as I was not able to get any baling shots last year, but have just done a few to add for this season's video!
