RC4WD 1/18 Gelande II RTR with D90 Body test drive & review
มุมมอง 12K8 ปีที่แล้ว
rc4wd Gelande 1/18 scale seems to be very much like the gelande 1/10 scale... A trail rig, not necessarily a rock crawler. Pros, everything is metal. realistic rig. going to be fun to modify lipo included. cons, Steering radius is very poor.. front body out screws very soft, stripped first try. motor has no torque. will update if i find any.. check us out on instagram @thercgarage ...

Thats a badass paint job
Looks fantastic. Good job
Hello, I watched your recent body painting video and tried to look you up on I.G. Unfortunately I couldn’t find @churchrcdesign. I’m interested in having a body painted, I have what I’m looking for in mind and just wanted to run it by you. My I.G. Is @U.P.crawlers. Have a good day!
So about ur body painting vid. Did u put a clear film on the inside of the body before painting
Yea 3-5 layers of liquid mask
@@Churchtattoo thank u
Mines been great no issues just have to remember to keep things scale some of the rocks you tried if were scale in mind were way too large for the truck .
Thank you for posting this. I wanted to get one until I saw this. You saved me a bunch of money!
tberg323 Get the 1/10 scale D90 if you have the money it's just better and not so unstable like that small thing
Samuel Gibson good call. This little thing moves like a fly.
Have not seen the ads for it but if they mention the words "crawler" or "realistic" in the ad anywhere they need to be sued. I appreciate your review but this thing is more of a toy than a real RC as has been said. Then again, maybe they made it this way so the real hobbyists will buy the $300 upgrade parts they'll make for it. :)
I feel that my reely 1/24 crawler with 4ws was munny well spent after watching this.
Pretty expensive for it's size. I like it, but the first thing I would do is get a bigger motor, and change the gearing if at all possible. But it's most likely a proprietary system, and nothing will bolt up to it. Nice rig, but too expensive.
Like about the truck dislike about the video, you must to learn how to crawl in this video you don't crawl, you just run in a full throtle and this rc looks like a toy when you run with full throtle upon the rock. The crawling is a slow procedure this rc is not made for speed is basically for trailing the crawling comes second. Just make a crawling video with no big speed like this video.
+panayiotis konstantos ahhh the internet expert has come crawling out of his hole...
yeah bla bla bla try to learn how to crawl because you don't try at all and we talk about my ass later.
there is no slow with this rig, I just got one and went looking for videos cause I thought I got a bad motor, nope, shitty little motor and geared WAAAAY to high to crawl.
what kind of charger do you use
RC4WD completely shit the bed with this rig. They should be ashamed for releasing this.
For 200$ it's not bad at all. Comes with a lipo as well. Really can't complain With a few mods this thing is sick. How can you complain about an all metal structure in 1/18 scale for only 200$
+Church Tattoo It's a functionality disaster out of the box. It's barely hobby grade, I could get something from Radio Shack that performs this good for less than half the price. The only thing going for it is the metal construction and the scale components. Which by the way those axles have only been 6 or more years in the making. The shocks don't even work, the steering radius can't be fixed without grinding away on said metal structure. This is a rtr, the whole purpose of rtr offerings is to have something the buyer DOESN'T have to be mod, build, modify or in this case completely redesign! How can you not complain is my question? Why are r/c fans having to redesign and rebuild the offering of an engineering company? It is crazy, only slightly less crazy than those who would defend it. Do you suggest this is up to par for an RC4WD product? It's not even close. Fix the damn thing, tack on another $100 - $150 and there'd be nothing to complain about at all. People are way too easily pleased for their dollar these days. It baffles me.
+phantomshtter for me personally I spend more time working on them then driving. That's where I have my fun.. They never made any bold statements saying it was a good crawler.. An rtr doesn't mean quality just look at traxxas... You design a truck that sells for 200$ we will see how nice it is. 200$ is nothing in the rc world. I posted the review so people would know the faults.. It's a great platform. I'm not gonna bitch about it. First world problems
+Church Tattoo I'm not a multi million dollar rc engineering company. If I were however I would take you up on that in a second. I'd start by having an r&d department that wouldn't allow a half assed vehicle like this to be released under my prominent and well known name. I'm not gonna bitch about it either, I haven't bought one because of what it is. I thank you for biting the bullet on it so those of us that didn't impulse buy it can be informed.
+phantomshtter enough with your fuckin complaining. just STFU!
looks weaker than my though...
The motor looks like it's super small, what type of motors could bolt up to the trans
+kurtthezombie honestly i havent taken it apart... the transfer case looks very small...
+the RC garage I understand, it does look tiny.what run time do you get with the stock lipo?
doesnt look all that great more toy grade imho but kinda cool
We're do you guys usually play with your crawlers? I have my axial wraith and I will like to hang out with you guys.
