The issue is not about Akeredolu being alive or not but the fact that what Akeredola asked about the legitimacy of the Yoruba Nation group's agitation was the same question that came up at the last Senate Committee's session held at Kano. Even the British High Commission's statement of recent, after Sunday Igboho and his group submitted a letter, was similar. Why do you think that you will be doing the same wrong thing and be expecting a different result??? Why is it that for the past 4 years of the Yoruba Nation group agitation, not a single progress has been achieved???

@tyade7969 Federalism should be the regions as the federating units. While the FG etc may be pushing for States to be the federating units, it is our responsibilities as citizens to say what we want. This is the reason we have State Assemblies but we seem to have forgotten the importance of the States' Houses of Assembly and just waiting on the FG to do the magic. There is a Bill for Yoruba Referendum sitting at all the 6 SW States' Houses of Assembly. Our focus now should be to pressure them to pass the Bill into Law. If this is done across Yorubaland, we would have, once again, lead the others in progress and return to regional federalism.

Amen @Lydia Awodeji. The best way for Yoruba to get out is through a referendum conducted in the 6 SW States to first of all make the 6 SW States into a federal unit within Nigeria. This is a legal process accepted by all international laws. We first need to take charge of ourselves.
