I just finished rewatching the movie , She's definitely my favorite Disney princess, I loved that she firmly believed , focused and worked so hard to achieve a better life , even that the twins who selled her the building made a horrible racist comment about how she won't be able to handle opening and running a luxurious restaurant because she comes from a "poor background" Still she didn't give in Into their mean words and knew her worth and what she truly deserves in life .

2:37 F-ING FACTS! That beautiful world deserves to be expanded upon through a fully fledged Triple A expierience. New tracks and new environments within the world of Sugar Rush with ALL 16 racers being playable. Especially after how this movie was treated through the sh*tty Nintendo "sequel Activision game" and the sh*tty mobile marketing games.

I don't know if I would call OLIVER AND COMPANY a "classic", but I do have a soft spot for this film. The music, the characters, and the occasional dark elements do give it some oomph. The subway chase scene at the end, while technically implausible, is thrilling nonetheless, and notable for an interestingly early CG experiment. All the cars, the train, Fagin's tryke, and even the whole subway tunnel/Brooklyn Bridge camera angles were all rendered on CG. Of course it looks "primitive", but it is interesting nonetheless. I did first see the movie once in theaters back in 1988, way when I was six years old, but I only remembered parts of it, save the song and parts of the chase. It wasn't until two years later or so when I purchased a "story album" of Oliver and Company with Bill Woodson doing the narration that it came back to me. So seeing it again on the big screen in 1996 brought it back. It's an interesting time capsule in Disney's legacy.

I’ve got some ideas for season 3: 1. It isn’t clear if FearCo was completely shut down at the end of season 2, if they haven’t: they should make another Epsiode where they play softball but this time monsters Inc wins. This would be a great moment in the series as it would mark their very first victory in the softball games, which would be a very uplifting moment after loosing for 40 years straight. Continuing with the idea that FearCo hasn’t shut down, they would have to rebrand because of people wanting laugh power (most likely changing their name to LaughCo), they could have it so their new CEO makes a more gradual change to laugh power, as a contrast to Sulley ‘all in’ approach. 1 a) They could make it so that which ever team wins gets two tickets to Harry Hausens. This would mean that if Monsters Inc finally won: the episode would end in a very heartwarming moment with Mike and Ceelia finally being able to enjoy a meal together at Harry Hausens. Also the Epsiode could be a two partner with Mike trying to train the team to victory in the first part: similar to how he trained Oozma Kappa in MU. The second part would be the victory: they could even have Waternoose and Johnny Worthington spectating the game as they are allowed a day outside of prison and have Johnny making a smug/gloating remark about how FearCo have won all 40 of the past games and how Monsters Inc are so useless that they’re going to loose this one again marking their 41st conservative victory: only to then witness his company loose for the first time. 2. In Season 2 Epsiode 8, Mike claims he’s making a play called ‘New Canisters’ to hide the fact that the canisters were leaking (or so he believed at the time). It would be really funny if they made an episode where they tried to make a play called ‘New Canisters’ with Sully to direct and Mike to do his ‘New Canister Dance’. This would be a call back to ‘Put that kid back where it came from or so help me!’. As for the play itself: it could be about how the monsters adapted to the change from scream to laugh, and could also potentially be used to make meta commentary: in a similar vein to the Ember Island Players Epsiode from ATLA. 3. They could have some scenes with Waternoose and Johnny Worthington III, maybe see their perspective change whilst their sharing a cell in prison. 4. It would be interesting so see how Johnny’s family are coping as a result of his arrest. They will likely be dealing with the emotional fallout from discovering that their dad who they loved was actually a crook and will likely have to live with the stigma of being associated with him, in fact Roger Roger’s will have had to have dealt with that when his father (Waternoose) was discovered to be making a scream extractor: so they could potentially bond over that shared experience. 5. In season 2: it’s implied that the members of Oozma Kappa were able to become successful scarers, which means they will have to adapt now that laugh power is becoming a thing: Mike could train them up to be jokesters the same way he did to be scarers in MU. 6. Randall should come back as a villain. 7. They could show how Sully’s family (who were initially established to have a strong legacy of being great scarers) are reacting to the change from scare power to laugh power. 8. They could have an Epsiode where Mike finally does his paperwork on time but because of some unexpected circumstances: he looses all his paper work and has to scramble around trying to fix everything only for the episode to end with Roz calmly telling him that once again, he’s late, with her usual dry humor. 9. Mike could propose to Ceelia and or Tylor could propose to Val or both.

The gritty darker tone is refreshing, the characters, to me at least, feel more realistic, I like its message better and its ability to commentate on real life issues. Dont get me wrong, A bugs life is a good film as well, but it ends up feeling very.. kiddy? And too bland in places? If you think about it, I feel like the Disney movies that came out in the 2000s kinda feel like the outcasts of the Disney era because of the fact that most of the films that came out in the 2000s don’t really fit in the normal narrative that Disney is known for such as most of those movies don’t have a story about princess, some were more comedic, some had different animation styles, heck some of them weren’t even musicals. But I will give Lilo and Stitch that they are still acknowledged by Disney to this day, because outside of this movie and The Princess and the Frog, and prior to Once Upon a Studio, the Disney movies that came out in the 2000s are rarely acknowledged by the company.

I wish they hadn't removed the one scene of Lilo trying to scare the tourists off the beach with the siren test. It reveals a lot about her character and how much more aware of her community's dynamics than the other hula students are. It adds context to her collecting the photos. She does not like the tourists and how they treat her and the other Hawaiian people. She feels objectified so she vents by objectifying them back. Not only that but Mertle herself is the daughter of someone who runs tourist attractions so it adds another layer to their dislike of each other. I'm sure at one point Lilo must have offhandedly pointed out that the tourism industry bothers her and Mertle took offense to it. I can totally see that being the first inciting incident. The moment Mertle decided she disliked Lilo.

The music was so nostalgic because they had Billy Joel a great singer and character that made it happen. Roy was wise to involve him in this classic project.

Animation has this stigma that it's just for kids and also that adults can't and more like shouldn't enjoy animated movies, but even though these are mostly meant for kids that doesn't mean they are made by kids, that is also why many think animation shouldn't try so hard and play it safe to make money and entretain kids for an hour and half because a kids doesn't understand the world around them, right?... WRONG! Kids are way smarter than we give them credit for and deserve entertaiment that doesn't treat them as stupid; I'm not saying A Bug's Life does this, but plays it too safe, since this was Pixar's second movie after Toy Story, that was the first and only full CGI movie at the time, Pixar made this movie to stay on the game they just started, so they didn't take any risks, they just made a pretty looking movie for kids, the equivalent to shaking keys infront of a baby; That's the reason I like Antz more, as a kid I liked the story just fine, the main character goes on this adventure looked through the eyes of an insect, and on Antz everything feels gigantic, A Bug's Life has some of that like with the bird, but with Antz, the colony feels like a big city, the other bugs are so threatening due to the size difference, the picnic with the food towering over you and a human feeling like H.P. Lovecraft god, and insectopia making some trash cans look like paridise, those are the things you like as a kid; as an adult the message of the movie about individualism vs herd mentality, classism, politics, populism, corruption, these are all things used to build a movie that can make adults and children think, because of this Antz is a movie that has great rewatchability and why animation is a great medium to share such ideas with the general audience, because animation is not just for kids, it's for everyone, and Antz showed that for CGI movies early on.

I love this film to death. Its music is still amazing to this day. Billy Joel, Streets of Gold, Once Upon A Time in New York City, gets me pumped up and makes me emotional everytime I listen to it.

"best Pixar movie ever" I disagree, but thank you for giving this movie the respect it deserves. If I made a top 5 it would be 1.) Toy Story 2 2.) The Incredibles 3.) A Bug's Life 4.) Toy Story 5.) Finding Nemo I know I'm bias for the older stuff, but I just think Pixar pre Cars is their best stuff.

From what I understand, Jeffrey Katzenburgh left disney because him and another colleague wanted to make a movie of thier own characters and designs. Disney said yes, but only after Katzenburgh helped with I think it was The Little Mermaid, rinse and repeat this about the next 3 films that became a huge part of Disney's golden era and you get a pretty anxious and annoyed dude. Disney did allow Katzenburgh and his other colleagues to work on thier film that they wanted to do, including the huge funds to animate parts of the film in 3D. It was Treasure Planet. Disney then didn't market the film, or try to put out merchandise and just let the film crash and burn hard after it's release. From what I gather, after Treasure Planet bombed due to Disney not help market the film and other things to help get the word out for it, Katzenburgs film crashed and burned and he was angry. So he made his own studio of DreamWorks films. That is what I understand why he couldn't stand Disney and how dirty they did him and his passion project
