The stock spoiler has a plastic mount that attached to the trunk lid, that plastic mount already had bolts and everything so i basically used that piece and i adapted it to the fiberglass spoiler and i also used 3m tape, that's how i did it.

@@chiquitademivida so if I get you correctly, you put stock spoiler and glue the fiberglass one to it?

Yeah but not the whole spoiler just the bottom plastic piece, sorry idk how to explain very well.

Thanks, there's a list of all the materials i used in the video description, the original spoiler has a plastic mount, i adapted that to the fiberglass spoiler and that's how i put the spoiler on the car, sorry idk why i didn't record that part, about the chopped strand carbon fiber i think you can, but i can't give you more details on how to do it because i have never done it.

Thank you, i know is a lot of work, everything you said is true but they don't sell these, they sell like carbon fiber but smaller, so the owner of the car wanted to do something different and i decided to do it, that way i can gain experiece and learn from any mistakes.

The cost of something custom would be crazy and the benefit of this is that no one has it, making your car unique. I think it's a great way to go if you do your research and have good skills! Awesome job dude!

I don't use Epoxy, i use fiberglass resin, any brand it doesn't matter, you can look for the cheapest one if you want to save money

@@chiquitademivida Not truth. Fiberglass resin would melt Styrofoam. Btw all of that filler will fell out coz you did not use fiberglass primer

@@zoransusak2354 yeah that's why you have to wrap the styrofoam with foil tape before you apply fiberglass resin, otherwise it will melt like you said, and you're probably right about the fiberglass primer, it's been two years now since a made the bumper lip and still don't have any issues with the filler, but you know i'm still learning so i'll se how long is gonna last, i might try that fiberglass primer in the future.

Yeah you're right i agree with you, this is not the right way to do it but works, sometimes you just have to use what you got in your hands, not everyone knows how to weld or have welding tools.

Yes it will melt, you need to wrap the styrofoam with foil tape before adding resin, that will prevent the styrofoam from melting, check out my other videos for more details.

No they are very different, fiberglass molds are rigid, hard, and less flexible than rubber.
