got a used zebra printer from ebay that used to be in a UPS store... it's printed over a 300k labels for me over 12 years. Paid $60. best thing ever

I like all of them except stl flix. if they were $10 like the others they might be worth it, all though they have some good stuff they don't seem to have a lot of good stuff for the cost.

I did the butterfly dragon I think the day or day after Cinderwing released it, but did it in the Monarch butterfly colors (orange black, & white. We did 4 at once, with a bunch of random purge objects (we used Tri-DimensionPrints dino figures sized to the same height as the tallest part of the dragon). Cuts down on the waste a good bit, and gives us some random-colored little printed figures that we can give away at shows that otherwise would have gone in our waste box. On your shelf brackets, just be careful how much weight you put on them depending on what you printed them out of, infill, etc (I learned that lesson the hard way, lol).

I’m in the same boat as you. I have a small 3D printing business myself in central NY. We make all our sale at markets and our website had no sales. We need to work on that some more for sure!

You can add other non stlflix to your store. There is also no fees from them. I love how with stlflix they have a whole media package of photos and videos with each project for your store.

How many prints do you make for each of items you sell? I'm wanting to sell at markets eventually. I am waiting for my A1 with AMS to arrive got it during pre-sale.

Nice vid! I would recommend Flexi Factory, McGybeer designers. I'm not a fan at all of STL Flix, I've come across a lot of files that just don't print well, fail a lot. Doesn't seem like they do the best job at actually checking to see if they print, and the price is insane.

Definitely do a lot of research if considering resin printing, it's a different beast than FDM. Consider that you will need a separate area where you can contain and vent the fumes. You will also need to post process and include IPA which is flammable and also produces fumes, so keep that in mind. Also, what scale you're going to be printing, resin printer build plates are a lot smaller than FDM ones. And do some research on how to safely ship them out as they tend to be a lot more fragile than FDM, so you would need to package them carefully. And don't fall for the whole 16k vs 12k vs 8k resolution thing, most of the times you can't tell the difference so its mostly overhyped marketing.

A couple other good choices are Flexi Factory, Artflex, MatMire Makes(probably my favorite designer), and Tri Deiensionprints (if you're looking for flexi/fidget toys all these are good). Keychains and such, keychains have been out number one sellers at this point). I definitely agree on the STLFlix, definitely the Netflix of STL sites.. My biggest complaint is what you were talking about, almost zero lead-time on their releases (Valentines stuff is being all released this month, not giving much prep time, I'd rather them have released the Valentines stuff back in December, etc). I also have Hex3D (specifically since we sell their BIC covers, that's about all we print from them at the moment), Cinderwing3D (doesn't everybody tho, lol), IK3D (makes some awesome gaming stuff), Messy_Panda (new to Patreon, they make some spectacular statue animals, they have a few on Makerworld also, definitely looking to be worth a look at least) & Quantum Print Labs (primarily 'smoke' related products, which we sell to vape shops), and KirstenM over on MyMiniFactory (LOTS of flexis both small and large). Jeez, after totalling up all my designers, I'm woefully behind on selling up to now, need to work on that so I can at least break even, lol.... (That's probably my biggest downfall with this, I want all the designers, lol).

on the big multicolor prints, should look into printing some flush objects like fidget cubes along with them. doesn't really add to filament usage, and would give you extra cheap "grab bag" items to sell on the side

Congrats on your wedding anniversary. Print your wife a cake! At your msrket stall you could a lucky dip. Print small fidgets and put them in a egg. Maybe $5 for one. My 3yr old loves them.

Absolutely no problem on that alicorn, you posted your video after I'd gone through all that work (and colored a few parts she hadn't). We printed one of those dragon wine bottle holders in a red/gold co-extrusion filament from iSanmate, and it looks awesome.. At some point I want my wife to go over it with some rub-n-buff to make the scales pop, as the silks seem to erase some of the detail (it's there, just not as prominent with the silk for some reason).

I know people say no too, but i used to get a lot of dislodged prints too. Then i started using glue on the plate. Have not lost a print since and i do not need to use brims. I started with 1 printer, now i have 6. It's amazing what these things can print.

Showing what you selling jumpped far to quick

Im begging you to keep your animals safe ! They are so much more sensitive to fumes than we humans are. Every Fillament even PLA is polluting your air there is a vid here on YT somewhere and it shows that its not insignificant how much your air is getting polluted from even so called " safe " matireals.

Thermal printers are a God send! Got one for my 3D printer business and it was one of the best purchases I've made! No more cutting labels and taping them on. Looks so much more professional too.

Here in the UK, Etsy and Ebay have just brought in new rules about reporting earnings automatically. It’s going to cause a lot of hassle for me setting up as a new print seller, so I’m going to stick to markets. It’s really useful seeing what you sell etc, so thanks for your hard work
