Peragon Truck Bed Cover - Water concerns - this normal?
Let me know if this is a normal amount of water for the Peragon Truck Bed Cover? This is actually the more expensive option with the rugged image. Limited HDX
I tried adding additional sealant and installed the tailgate seal and it seams like it didn’t make much of a difference.

@meguiars Headline Restoration Kit… does it work?

Let’s find out if you can actually restore headlights from foggy oxidation cause by weather and the the sun’s surface UV rays.
Replacing my squeaky brakes and rotors on a 2015 Toyota Sienna SE

My brakes were screaming at me so I decided to replace them along with my rotors.
DIY cornhole boards with LED lights for playing at night!
มุมมอง 186ปีที่แล้ว
Just a DIY guy here and this was my first set of college cornhole boards and they turned out amazing! This video shows my process for making them. I started with a polyurethane but discovered spar urethane which provides better UV and water protection. I would go with a semi-gloss or stain finish, gloss was way to shiny for outdoor use. I used a waterbase Bear Spar Urethane I got from @HomeDepo...
How to clean the carburetor on a Honda push mower
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Using the Honda HRX217 lawn mower I'll show you how to breakdown the carburetor for cleaning. If your mower will start using a starting fluid that means you have spark and it's likely that your carburetor is the issue and it could be that you have build up that prevents the jets and nozzle from spraying fuel properly. Follow these steps for disassembling your carburetor then reassembling after ...
Yep mine leaks just as bad, going to sell mine soon.
Another Honda carb cleaning but he did not remove the screw on to to access the idle jet. That jet if not cleaned will cause no idle/surging!
Haven't tried to start the mower yet it was just running rough but definitely a helpful video for remembering how to reassemble everything😂
99% its always a gas problem never any dirt or debris cas puts a coating on the jets and makes them smaller
Thanks from Australia my Honda HRU-19D mower has the identical engine !
The fuel switch is off. That's what gets me.
yeah when theres a problem involving the flywood their surely wont be any action
🤭
Very helpful and informative video! Just bought a used one that’s been sitting for a year and won’t start, so hoping this helps. Already changed oil and got rid of old gas and replaced with new, so this is my last hope.
Great job thanks
Mine leaks too kinda want to get rid of it.
This video got my Honda lawnmower running! Thanks for the tip to get the jet out. I just shook it around a ton and it eventually came out
my 300$ factory roll up with gaps keeps more water out😂😂 that sucks man im sorry to hear cause that looks more than 1500$
Yeah, I’d go with something else.
You Man save me headek, thanks 👍🏿
great, clean video. thanks!
Great job. Had a surging engine. Now I don't. Thanks!
One thing of note here, it’s probably not the switch that’s on its was out. Likely the cable just got a bit stretched. You can adjust the cable tension and it likely woulda fixed your issue.
Great point! I messed with it a little but maybe not enough. Should have revisited it once I figured out what was going on.
All you do is twist the cable and it gets closer to the kill switch free fix
Nice video. Covered it all.
Thanks for putting this together. I had an issue with my HRX217 surging (unloaded) after only three years of use. I tried cleaning the carburetor once,, then it wouldn't run at all (except on starting fluid). Following your video, I did it again and it's now back to running well again.
Simple micro switch messing up a good day. Glad the fix was cheap though
it wasnt though, all the things he replaced would have been pricey
Replaced everything before finding out a blob of weld could fix it. Typical lol... - Detroit
I didn’t replace everything… just a few parts. But yeah I had no clue what was wrong with it, replacing some things helped me narrow it down. Seems like a typical troubleshooting strategy when you’re learning. 🤷🏻♂️
This isn’t a review. Go actually review them. Didn’t mention to us at all how they play.
Check the title of the vid again
WoW...glad I came across this, I've been hearing about alot of leaking issues with the peragon. I was initially thinking of getting it but this cures that problem.
I like the look of the scratches
It comes in at the front corners by the cab. Been trying to troubleshoot mine for a while now. Also depending what cover you have there isn’t any sealing along the main line against the cab. Cover is fixed on its support, support is sealed. But run a rag on the outside of the cover material at the top and shine a lite on the inside and you will see it. Water is basically held out by tension from the covers edge pressing against the support. That water runs along the support to those front corners, and ends up in my bed looking just like this. I’m gonna drive a bead of silicone between the fabric and the support plate and fill the corners back in and see how that works.
Same issue with mine. I can’t stand it
I dig it, I think the wear gives them character.
Had mine (the rugged) for a few weeks on my 24 tundra and I’m sending it back. Sure all covers are going to have some leaks but mine leaks like crazy seems to run between each panel and gets my whole bed soaked
Same issue with mine without and with my bed rack. 22 Toyota Tacoma. I have the newest Limited HDX with the XRP Rugged Matt Finish. Leaked from day one between the seals of each panel. Leaks on the side as well and it doesn't matter whether it's a light drizzle or a major storm. Another major issue I have is that it doesn't slide easily at all. I've tried to realign, raise/lower side support, move back and forward...still very hard to slide open and closed. The only saving factor right now is the Roof Top Tent that hangs over the bed of the truck. I want to take off the RTT for the winter...but I'm not sure if I should take it off with the winters we get here in Nevada... I've also been contacted by a few owners who have had leaks with their covers on their 22 Tacomas, too. Last week, I spoke with a 22 Tundra owner and he said his leaked also. Unfortunately, there are quite a bit of owners having this problem with the different models.
It looks like the team shipped out some additional parts since you last commented. Has the operation improved for you? Being so hard to open and close makes me wonder if there is an alignment issue.

My cover on my 2018 ram leaks water just like yours. Most bed covers leak water. I only use mine for the winter months in central New York so the water leaks don’t bother me.
I got ride of mine because of this same issue my father has still this issue with his
If you ain't getting spark... Rule that system out. Your probably newer based off how you came to the solution. Engines need fuel, air, spark and compression. I usually first chance spark, if it's good. Dump some fuel down the cylinder and see if it fires off. If it does you got compression and air. All that's left is fuel which 99% is just dirty jets in small engines. Once you do it a few times it's a walk in the park. Glad you where able to get to the sourse of your issue. That is the ground switch, if it's not working right and pushed in (pull the bar) I would see if your cable is worn first.
Yeah, one I figured out the issue I should went back to the cable.
Yes! Mine does the same s#$% and found that the weather strips between the panels and the "seal" where the rollers and track are shrank and deformed/ remolded from cold weather. I hope that made sense. I could not figure out an alternative fix other than replacing all the seals.

Minor problem
What model is that mower?
Sounds like you are already in touch with our team, but they will request some photos to ensure your installation is correctly aligned and the seals do not have any damage. The cover is not waterproof but most of our customers do find it to be pretty water tight!
Are you guys going to fix this Leak issue or just keep selling them and not make a better product? at this point ill rather just order a Diamondback covers, yes more spendy, but wont have to dill with this headache that everyone dills with.....
@@dee151 The cover is not designed to be waterproof and we do not advertise it as such. We designed this around being both secure and flexible giving you full access to your bed. Knowing how you use your truck and what features are most important to you is so important. If remaining perfectly dry is the most important feature to you then this is not the right cover for your needs.
Yes, can’t wait for my Bakflip mx4 to arrive, peragon in a sieve.
The mx4 lets a ton of water in as well!
The wiring is the hard part but this wasn't covered. Transformer needed or do these plug directly into an outlet?
He said transformer box of lights and cables $250 total
They sell 12v and 120v kits.
@@howtodoitdude1662 what was the brand u used. I would like to do the same lights u used on my deck. Did u pick the 12v or 120v? Also how did the process take? Sorry so many questions, I was thought if u don’t ask u won’t know.
Looks great. What is the white material?

Not being rude at all.. But where on the golf course we’re you hitting your PW from.. 😅
Golf and tennis... Never disappoints when it comes to elitist snobs looking down on players that aren't just out of reach of the tour. Give it a rest, bud.
@@lhtsnakes1it’s a fair question.
This is after only 3 rounds of golf? I would be pissed
They’ve since fixed this issue I believe
@@EthanKeszler i think most clubs with that kind of finish end up wearing pretty bad after a while
How did you cover wires at back
Bullshit
Dang that’s a bummer. I wish they let you choose what you want black finish and chrome. After seeing this I think I’ll just pick chrome. 😞
They do let you choose
Golf clubs are going to get scratched up ..your hitting a ball over and over
I purchased the Limited HDx that has the push rods. And the cover leaks just as bad if not more. I am in process of sending it back.
Looks great but with alternate steps lit, does the dark steps make it a trip hazard?
Agreed. I would spend the extra coin and light each step.
what's up man, I was looking into this bed cover, any updates?
