I have just read all the comments below and it strikes me that this Topic has a real Interest for the People of Ireland. and indeed to the around the World because where there was the Church there was Child Abuse . Really this is like a Pandemic all over the Globe of Tortured and Damaged Adults very many now Elderly People who often carried serious Trauma from those times and many not growing up in an ordinary Family that sometimes the Trauma was passed on to the Children or Families that were Born to those Damaged Children later in Life . What an incredible Programme or Documentary series the subject would make and it would go Global I am sure and the reason it needs to be made is that all those Victims just like the Holocaust Survivors they are Dieing without speaking the History to their Children and the World as Witnesses to the Suffering that They endured . Anyway John and I am Glad Christopher got to share His Story with the World and I Hope He has a Great Life with His Familie and good luck in the Future .

Was it Eamo Cumberton that first trained Ryan? He was just starting MMA when I left Dublin in 2004. Great man if it was

This is so good, if possible please put up a list of tracks that epitomise the stuff Liam played in around 1990/1991. Only a few italo house tracks mentioned around 44 mins. Top bants. What a legend. Thanks so much.

Love this. I was only 10 in 1990 out in north co.Wicklow. Me and my bros were mad for house and dance music from about 87. In the 90s we used to lock into DLR 106fm and I still have all the old tapes. Liam Dollard was a name that Mark Kavanagh used to mention a lot, probably when he was talkin about the good nights that were on in town. Love hearing the stories. Important history how it all fit together and how dance culture spread across the world and into Ireland. Beautiful time. Need more peace and love in the world today.

My mother was in the “Sisters of Mercy” convent school in Kilkenny in the early 1950’s. She told me loads of stories of nuns chasing young girls of about 8, 9 or 10 years old around the classroom with giant sticks & beating the living sh*te out of them. Sisters of “mercy” me arse 😠 The so-called “Christian Brothers” were a bunch of scumbags as well.

My Dad was in there from 1939-46 because his mother died due to pregnancy complications and was living in Dublin and had he had 4 half siblings. His step father was not allowed to keep him as he was not his actual father.Court case by the govt and entered that hellhole at the age of nine.He very rarely talked about things that went on in there but when he did it was awful. My dad had maternal grandparents and uncles but the catholic church made money from those kids by working them. abusing them.. What a lovely guy Christopher is thank you for this interview.

Yup Liam Dollard, the 1 and only. I wonder if you can help me find some of Liam Fitz mixing live in sides, it had Dino Lenny "COCAINE " Track on the tape of Liam Fitz mixing. I can’t find it anywhere and my tape with it recorded on it has given up many decades ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated lads. Loved Liam dollard and Billy Scurry mixing it up aswell. But I'd really love to get the dj set from sides that Liam Fitz did.
