Would have loved to have been there in the flesh to hear this maestro in the magnificent cathedral. A very individual performance as this piece should always be.

Nice job but why does every band that plays Highland Cathedral always rush it...Its a slow aire and should be played as such..solo drummer introduction,then solo piper with everyone else coming in at the start of the second measure.

I know i should no this but what is the name of the music played at the start?

Someone has obviouslly never read a history book, need i mention the falklands, WW2, run up to the Battle of trafalga? If britian did come under threat of invasion people would be jumping up and down saying "We need more ships" and then realise it takes Years to build a ship. We should never underinvest in the Navy (which unfortuantly the goverment is) becuase the point of it is to be there when you need it: warships aren't like electricity, you cant switch off and on the supply!

There is no international threat that warants this sort of extravagant expenditure. We are not under threat of invasion from a foreign power. There is unlikely to be the sort of future naval engagement that would require this sort of war-ship. This money could have been spent on the National Health Service which is drasticaly & criminaly underfunded. If they spent the sort of money on keeping people alive that they now spend on killing people, the world would be a far better place

WE don't need desrtroyers to stop imigration or drugs. That's the responsibility of Customs & excise. This is just Britain harking back to the days of colonial imperialism. A totaly un-necessary extravagance. Why? So that a bunch of pompous Eton public school boys can use the armed forces as a private gang to protect their stolen "investments" in other countries natural resourses.

Oh, When was the last time Britain was engaged in a naval battle requiring destroyers. Apart from the cod-war with Iceland. This money could have been used for education, hospitals or improving the roads. When was the last time you saw someone doing a sponsored Lands End To John-O-Groats walk to buy a new bomb, misile or war-ship? They also "plan" to spend £12 billion on upgrading our Nuclear Capability. Tell me, where does the nuclear threat exist?

Just what we need... Another war-ship?? We're going through a resession & our government wastes our money on this?
