FOSSIL HUNTING - TRELDE NÆS - DENMARK
So I started on this video about a year ago, short after I started at my new job, and never got to finish it up.
I did a bit here and there, but now I just decided to uploade it, even if it isn't what I planned it to be.
but it will do, so I can start from scratch with the next video, which I filmed last summer in Slovakia.
In this video we are going back to one of my favorit places, Trelde næs, were we have one of the oldest clay deposits in Denmark.
We can find all sort of cool things, which lived in the seas around were Denmark is today.
I found my first fossilized crab and shark tooth at this location.
Many hours of walking, climbing, and with knees down in the gravel to find those small fossils.
I hope you guys will enjoy, and subscribe, because I promise that, the next video will come soon.

A short video, from My first trip to this location, in Dalbyover - Denmark
🤠🧐🇩🇰
I just found your video. I can only think, if this is what lies on top, just imagine what is way, way down underneath. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.🦘
Hello! I currently live in Belgium and I would like to do some fossil hunting (I have never done it before). I have read that only in Denmark and maybe UK I can find good fossils. I would like to ask you if I could do it in Denmark at end of the January this year? Would the weather be okay for this, what basic things should I know beforehand?
Hello Halil, Germany and a few other places in EU have some nice locations as well, but Denmark definitely have a variety of good locations. You can basically go fossil hunting all year, but it’s the most nice in spring summer an autumn 🙂
Well things to know, well cloth should be after weather and locations conditions, to trelde I always wear gummiboots.
Hi Halil, Luxembourg has some nice fossil bearing spots as well. Do some research about the 'devil's toenails. Unfortunately I forgott where the field was, but you can find the location somewhere in the web. Nearby Esch sur Alzette there are some fossil deposits as well. Good luck.
Wow absolutely love the echinoids, greetings from the UK 🇬🇧.
Thank you David, the echinoids, was my first ever fossil, so they have a big place in my heart, and my next video from Dalbyover Chalk grave, will contain a lot of echinoids 😃 I’m also planning to go for a hunt in the UK, hopefully during the summer, if the world situation allows it 🙂
@@martingrudjensen3831 There are some really good sites in the UK .The best ones are the Yorkshire coast ,the Jurassic coast Lyme Regis and the Isle of Wight, they call that the Dinosaur Isle.Hope that helps you ,I have subscribed looking forward to see your other videos 👍
Great finds! I saw some nice flint, have you ever found any stone artifacts?
Thank you, i haven’t found any artifacts, but I know some locations were this should be possible, so maybe in the spring I will go for a hunt and see if any can be found 🙂
Wonderful finds!
Thank you Bill 🙂
Looking good mate 🤘
Thank you mate 😃
The music distracts from the content . I enjoyed it though!
Thank you Marie, music will be change in next video for something more chill /relaxed 🙂
Nice. Keep posting. Sure you will get many more subscribers. Good luck.
Thank you Ray, i definitely will keep the videos coming 😃
Great. Do like sea urchins.
Me too, one of the next video to come, will definitely have more urchins in them 😃
Awesome finds! A very nice mix of fossil. I recently got into fossil collecting my self and really enjoyed. One tip for your next videos try toning down the music a bit especially when you talk, I am sure people would rather hear your voice. Good luck of the next hunt!
Thank you so much, i dont know why, but the sounds was better in the program I used, but I definitely need to check up on that, and change the music for something more chill, and maybe nature sounds instead 🙂
@@martingrudjensen3831 check out oak studios, they have a ton of copyright free music, and they deficient have some more chill music that works great for collecting video. I use them a lot in my videos.
Once again thank you, i Will have a look at there page for my upcoming video, from my slovakia summer trip last summer 😃
@@martingrudjensen3831 i am looking forward to your next video.
Good work! But please turn down the crappy music. Hard to hear your voice!
I Will do that with the next one 😆👍🏻
Det er mega godt! Fortsæt med at lave videoer..
Mange tak, skal jeg gøre 😃
godt at se dig igen! :))
Tak, forhåbenligt kommer der snart en video mere 😃
Amazing work mate! 😊
Thank you my friend :D Next video, will be from our journey into the Slovakien forest, on our quest for fossils :D
@@martingrudjensen3831 Looking so much forward!!!
My great grandmother came from Denmark and when she passed, I was handed down a few fossils - one of which looked like those fossil sea urchins! I wonder if that's where it came from!
Thats amazing, it might well be, this is one of the most well known locations for urchins 🙂

Great stuff mate! As always :) That North side is also absolutely beautiful place...
Pat's Fish Tanks Thanks mate, was an absolute pleasure, to have you tackle along 😎
That info on the crinoid is awesome, I thought it was a plant, found a stem imprint, i think, in one of my videos. Another killer video man!
Agate Dad Thank you so much, yeah, I learned something as well, fossil hunting is pretty new for me, so I learn as I go, and hopefully the videos will improve, as I learn 🙂👌🏻
Hey Agate Dad! I watch your channel, I live nearby trelde næs, seeing you comment here was unexpected :0
@@J_H_Rahbek thanks so much!!
Awesome video man!!
Agate Dad cheers mate, my latest one, have a bit more education going on, would love you to have a look at that one. And I really enjoyed you’re latest video, still haven’t talked in one of my videos 😂
@@martingrudjensen3831 yeah I will fornsure check it out! The talking part is weird, before I started my channel, public speaking in any sense was a huge fear of mine. Now I'm like whatever haha it gets easier. I'm going to go watch your video right now!
Agate Dad Thanks mate, planning on at least have a intro at the spot we’re I talk a bit, and hopefully, like with you, it’s gonna get easier 🙂
Really good video mate! 😊
@Pat's Fish Tanks, Thank you mate 😃
