Different patterns giving great sound
Here you can see some of my hand patterns. if your drum is generally standard to note placement (bottom to top crisscross is your scale pattern) you can go from one to another. some are different and that completely changes the hand pattern. The first one I just created last night. The rest you can find in my album.
I am waiting for my next set that is going to have all the notes in tune is coming because it was quality checked before boxing and shipping :)
That and a professional recording and... I promise these sound so much better in real life.

My recording set up is terrible. I'm working up the nerve to an electricacoustic. Sorry about the horrible beginning. I'm already getting better. One day I will have a drum that's fully functional and tuned. Sorry about the dogs 🐶😅

What a difference in sound!!! I enjoyed your comparison. Maybe those mallets will go on sale. Until then I have covered my mallets in a wool sock fuzzy side out. Did you put the outline around the drum toung? That is a nice touch
Those mallets are fantastic! I am curious what brand of drum you are playing? I just started on a lekato 6" 11 tone drum in the key of C to see if it was fun. I can't wait to get a 15 tone drum.
I'm not sure the brand but it came from Turkey. I don't recommend them because they shipped it with zero packaging. 😢 So yet again I have notes out... I'm sure you hear it in the beginning.
When I was a young girl growing up in Seaside, my 5th grade teacher offered a summer crafts program at his home for local kids. He taught us macrame, making sand candles, wax batik and tie dye. We never did anything too elaborate with the tye die, but it was great fun. Make more vids, Dixie. 🤗 Valaska
