Why not to clean a whole river and protect it from industrial pollution and fish in ? Less than 100 years ago there were so many fishes in rivers that you would just dip a net one time in a river and get enough to eat for the whole week... Salmon and lobsters were a poor's fish

@@AutoNomades you do realize this is more sustainable and environmentally friendly than ponds right? it takes up less land meaning a lower carbon footprint and RAS systems when done properly produce perfectly healthy fish. They are not humans they don't have as advanced of a neocortex as us. Therefore they won't know the difference between a box or a pond because they don't have the logic or reasoning skills humans have get over it. I swear the biggest flaw in humans is literally the fact that we treat all living things as humans when they are not humans.

@@AutoNomades Look, I don't agree with mammals being factory farmed because they actually have the intelligence to know what's going on which is why they end up being sick and unhealthy. But fish are far less intelligent and don't have the advanced neocortex that would allow them to know the difference between RAS and a pond. That is why you don't get stress induced sickness from fish in this system so considering that and the fact that this is far more sustainable than ponds. Has made me realize that this is a humane and sustainable solution for fish in particular plus with 9 billion people on the planet ponds are not feasible anymore.
