Is the APDO really the same racquet as the Rafa Origin?
Redlining my Game with Tour Mako in a Modified Pure Aero Rafa
มุมมอง 469หลายเดือนก่อน
Beckett plays some rally points using his heavily modified Pure Aero Rafa 290 strung with Grapplesnake Tour Mako @ 52lbs. Usually Ale destroys me really badly but this time it was pretty close. Took me a while to get used to how soft and powerful Mako is, but the spin and control is there when you commit to the shot. 🐍 Grapplesnake USA: invi.tt/AKZQ

when i get a high ball i like to step up and hit flat (del potro / venus williams) but can only do it with dense 18x20 racquets usually. anyone use this and try shots like that?
Just hang those rackets like clothes hangers. That what I did . And it works just fine. They all dangle perfectly. Only spent 10.00 for extension bar.
grass court shoes wimbledon style
how do you recommend modifying it? i use a 100D now, and i want a bit more heaviness without making the racket too heavy to swing and generate spin
Great video! Keep making them. The world needs to hear from more people like you who struggle but still find a way to power through anyway. Takes courage to “know thyself”.
Simon, instead of trying new racquets, u should try new back!
Nice commentary Simon, nice to hear your thoughts on the match. Unfortunate circumstances with the back, but hope we get to see more matches from you when you're 100% healthy.
@@AllanTennis it was bad for like a month after this but the back is firing on all cylinders now. Demon state of mind for the 2025 season
Simon goat
Nice fight in laver cup Shelton, Vamos Ezone
let's play sometime. i'm close by to your courts
It's me or do you change your grip for a more continental one?
I think this should be TennConn's main racquet, he is hitting huge and consistently in this video. I think controllable 100 sq inch racquets are the trend going fwd. Is Sinner the 1st #1 player using 100? I think maybe only agassi was a top pro using a bigger racquet?
Nadal…
String tension?
That´s some serious hitting there 😱
How is this compared to the Percept 97?
Much more forgiving and bit more of spin, control wise is good
I wonder how he customized it? I found mine pretty powerful, especially nice to serve with considering its reputation as a control frame. I could see it having cannon potential with the right setup.
leather grip and lead at 12
@@roc_co 👍
Why would you do that to me
That's, "Walmart Agassi's" racquet of choice 👌
we all love Walmart Agassi!
i like how at 1:24 you turned around to the camera like "did you see that?"
I believe in Percept supremacy
I would like to see u compare the Prince Ripstick 300 to the Aero line. Very similar racketspecs as the Aero., But with O-ports.
i saw nordicdots damps, do you have a demo of their new racket??
I like the first Aeropro Drive Cortex 2007-2009. I still have 2 Aeropro Drive Cortex (GT) 2010-2012. Tried Pure Aero 98 and still cannot really adapt well with the new Pure Aero. Perhaps Pure Aero Rafa Origin is a better replacement for my style of play.
You should measure and show throat thickness, 9'O clock thickness, 12'O clock thickness, static weight, swing weight, twist weight, and stiffness to compare these models
dang bro you're crushing that ball
thanks
How does this compare to M8 and paradox pro? I’m loving PP but the strain on arm and shoulder after a few sessions is worrying…
Way softer and more comfortable than both M8 and PP. Very much in the realm of Ghostwire but the control is way better
How’s the spin potential compared to M8? Also tension maintenance.
@@TennComUnlimitedInteresting. My Lynx Tour X Hyper G round setup weirdly hurt my arm - not normally a problem for me. So I thought I’d give Grapplesnake a go. Have loved Tour M8, the pocketing and control are immense, the spin is ok. I’d be happy to settle for the string. However, I also have some sets of PP, Mako and Alpha so feel duty bound to give these a go. How would you compare those three strings to M8. Particularly in terms of pocketing, control and spin?
An artengo! What do you think about it?
Swung weird on first hit and haven't revisited
Nice
Great video. Grass is lovely to play on but you need proper well maintained grass courts to enjoy it. The bounces off the court you were on were horrendous - it just shouldn't play like that!!
Those grass courts are not in good condition. Lumpier than a potato field!!
i bet u had so much fun editing every single point
the pain is real... editing sets is a slog
10:42 LOL. Truth and integrity is more important though than selling your soul! #respect
I have a few spare sv 98s! 2 in 3/8 if you are interested. Very solid racket, and the perfect stick for my game. I just prefer 1/4 grip
I like 4 &1/4 as well, I have some of my old aluminum Pro Kennex Jr Ace Pro Power Contour red & blue in later 4 inch grip 4 now and 2 Mat yellow & black. Even having to over original failing grip use a single layer at most 1/4 overlap spiral afer first overlap on some 1.25 inch wide black cloth hockey tape over original grip and did a Loctite Ultra Gel Control on open end where I got rid of sticky issue using a bit of soil/dirt on grip bushing off and using a fully damp paper towel/rag on grip to work in very little soil and remove most, I have feeling the yellow & black are a bit small for my hand and I have a kids/boys XL, women's Small, or men's/unisex XS in glove size.
tempting tempting....
This was surprisingly fun to watch, watching tennis that is relatable. Would love to see a match between you and Luca! Maybe that could even go into the main TennCom channel 😅
Haha thanks, sub to @AllanTennis for best chances of seeing that
holy shit more tenncom content lets goooo
lets go! 😅
What rating is this? Open?
its men's over 25 but then they also let a bunch of under 25 players play to fill the draw (which is good IMO) so there was a mix of levels from 2.5 to 5.0
awesome vid def super into this new channel
poor ian
damn this is like a confessional. shoutout to ian
The yonex 95D is the racket Stan the man actually has been using since he switched to yonex
The pure drive original is the frame nadal has used all of his career
i love this video keep up the good work
thanks dawg!
