Nice. I just run mine through a pvc. That became a problem due to not noticing the tool end was approaching the machine. It ripped to tool adapter right off. The spring makes it visible. Thank you!

A LOT easier just to get Henry's roof sealant in a caulking tube and just dab it on your "bald spots".

Absolute best tip for the Hydrostar… changed how the machine operates and is so much more controlled now and flings so much less.

Those Warrior step-bits are awful, use a cutting lubricant and go slow. Also, with DeWalt, the battery management is in the tool and not the battery. If you allow the battery to drain too far it will destroy itself.

You actually only need to pass the screwdriver through the opening half a dozen times to magnetise it. in and out, in and out, in and out. I recommend utilising the entire length as more often than not the tip will be a different hardened metal.

I would glue the strap in place before adding the tube to ensure correct positioning and balance.

Thanks for the very good tip! Yes HF hydrostar cables are very weak and even if little bit kinked becomes very hard to control. Guide spring would be very useful if you have imperfect cable. You have more expensive version of HF hydrostar. Cheaper ones (without wheels) has a major flaw in that those don't have any means to clamp down on the cable and stop it from advancing when it hits serious resistance. This is another reason why cable for HF hydrostar becomes kinked so easily. Too bad for inexperienced owner who must either get another cable or dispose of their machine on craigslist.
