    I have a question for you. Is there a difference between the systematic review and the interactive review?

    • @KimSydowCampbellPhD
      @KimSydowCampbellPhD 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm so sorry not to have responded to your question! I have my own TH-cam channel and get notifications when there are comments. That doesn't happen here because I don't own the ABC channel. Anyway, there is no critical difference between systematic and integrative reviews. Different fields call these types of reviews by different terms.

    This TH-cam video discusses the importance of visual communication in advertising and the use of visual rhetorical figures to create impactful advertisements. Visual rhetorical figures are defined as artful deviations from expectation that evoke arguments and lines of reasoning. The video highlights the relevance of visual rhetorical figures in advertising, as they have been shown to be more persuasive than straightforward images. However, it cautions that if the meaning of a visual rhetorical figure is not successfully resolved by the audience, it can lead to frustration or decreased persuasion. The video also introduces a typology of visual rhetorical figures based on visual richness and complexity, and provides examples to illustrate different types. Overall, visual rhetorical figures are seen as effective tools in advertising to capture attention, increase processing, and ultimately influence attitudes, intentions, and behaviors.

    I'm confused. At 2:34 she says the ad on the right contains a visual rhetorical figure and the ad on the left doesn't, but the check mark and x are inverted. She then later defines a visual rhetorical figure as something that adheres to the following: 1.) An artful deviation from expectation that is not rejected as faulty or erroneous. 2.) Recipients do not see the deviations as errors. 3.) Literal interpretations would be nonsensical or untrue. 4.) Rhetorical figures can be verbally or visually expressed. 5.) Visual rhetorical figures can potentially stand alone without text. My point is, all of that applies to the ad on the left, NOT the ad on the right. It's very confusing to the audience when a simple slip-up right at the start of the video is left in like that.

      The reason why the data is inaccurate for the the right image is because there are still wild Panthera tigers found outside of zoos. What the graphics is conveying is that eventually they dwindle down until they are left in the zoo then they are gone. As you did not research the topic at hand and gave it face value, you presumed it was accurate leading to believe these tigers are only found in the zoo, correct? If yes, then the ad worked on distorting your perception and making you believe false data.

    Karin Goettsch presents a comprehensive and clearly-explained overview of ways to increase engagement and motivation in addressing the opportunities (and challenges) of virtual team work. Her advice is particularly noteworthy in including the cultural and leadership issues inherent in virtual global team settings. This is talk equally useful in a classroom as in a boardroom for engaging virtual strategies.

    Wonderful video, Stephen. Thank you!! One thought for my ABC colleagues as you guide students to create a contract: Instead of you the faculty member developing a policy for teams to fire a teammate, you can require the teams write their own accountability policy at the beginning of the project in their team contracts, including behaviors that would lead to firing a teammate and the process the team would follow. This method creates true accountability and removes you from the decision making process (although you will likely be involved in the implementation in some way).

      @stephencarradini4484 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the kind words! Yes, giving students autonomy to make accountability decisions is an idea I champion. I've never extended it so far as to let students choose their own accountability conditions for firing another student from the group, but that idea is definitely an extension of ideas I like to use in my class.

    Absolutely about his admissions of not knowing: a relatable position as crisis is fluid and unfolding. This has been noted by many journalists as the role of honesty and humility in leadership. Dramatic contrast to Trump who knows everything but then has to take everything back, signaling incompetence and untrustworthiness.
