REACH, or the Resource Group for Education and Advocacy for Community Health, is an India-based non-profit organisation, established in Chennai in 1999, by a team led by Prof M S Swaminathan (Founder - Chairman) and Dr. Nalini Krishnan (Founder - Director). Over the last 25 years, we have been a key partner and leader in the fight against TB in India, working closely with the national TB programme and engaging various stakeholders including the private sector, affected communities, industries, the media, and other important stakeholders in TB elimination.
Our Voice, One Voice | India's TB Champions
This inspiring short film celebrates the extraordinary work of TB Champions across India, highlighting their diverse backgrounds and the significant impact they make in the fight against TB. Featuring 11 TB Champions from 11 states in the country - Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal - the film provides a platform for these unsung heroes to share their stories, aspirations, and the profound impact of their work.
This short film is inspired by ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’; similar to the classic audio-visual masterpiece promoting national integration and unity in diversity, the film features TB Champions from different geographies united in their fight against TB.
Each Champion, representing India's rich linguistic and cultural mosaic, speaks passionately in their native languages, offering insights into their tireless efforts in raising awareness, reducing stigma, and providing critical support to TB-affected individuals and communities. Their commitment to going beyond TB and addressing broader health and social issues highlights their holistic approach to healthcare.
Their stories, interwoven with vibrant visuals celebrating India's cultural diversity, create a powerful call to action. As the Champions' voices rise, they inspire viewers to join the fight, paving the way for a TB-free future.
These 11 TB Champions represent the thousands of TB advocates working tirelessly to eliminate TB in India. ‘Our Voice, One Voice’ is a compelling cinematic journey and a rallying cry for unity, compassion, and collective action in the fight against TB and the myriad challenges that plague our society.
