some time ago I was contacted by a parent I used to work for as an advocate. her son attends a local high school. she got a call one day that she needed to come to the school. she arrived and she found him in a small room in a pool of his own blood. apparently he had kicked through a window. he also started have seizures again after that experience. I showed my husband the text and it reminded him of the time that he got a my son, who has autism, who was huddled on the floor outside of his high school classroom. apparenlty the teacher had made a comment and he thought she was talking about him. he ended up in the hall in tears. my husband brought him home and we took care of him. the teacher apparently felt pretty bad about the fact that he had misunderstood her remarks. but his school experiences for many years were literally hell. no child with or without a disability should have that expereince. over the years his school experiences, particularly in special education classrooms were literally hell. many of those classes were abusive in the extreme. our district used to have and still has classes that they call structured learning programs (SLP) they had lockable padded cells in them. when kids acted out, typically due to unexpected changes. they would be tossed in the cell and the door would be locked. it happened to my son and many others many times. there were a few heroes along the way one was a special education director, who told me once at an IDEA PTA meeting in my home about a school on the other side of the city that had one of the cells in it. the room had a camera in it. he mentioned that the district superintendant told him not to show the mother video because she'd get the wrong idea. he told me that he showed the mother the video because he figured she'd get the right idea he was a hero to me and to many other parents of kids with special needs. the local high school used to house students with disabilities in a small rundown building across the street. he told me that he used to walk the kids over to the main building for lunch and classes every day so that they could participate with the rest of the students. he passed away a couple of years ago leaving behind many heartbroken staff and parents myself included. but over the years my son's experiences in special education classes were mostly just short of horrific. there weren't many heroes along the way. one is a former homebound teacher who still comes to visit him every Tuesday morning. when my son was in elementray school he was forbidden to talk about games which are his special interest. his homebound teacher would come over, sit with him at the diningroom table and say Jesse, tell me about your games. the teacher had a special interest in art and history and he would explain to my son how his beloved video games fit into world history and art. unfortunaterly teachers like him were few and far between. he still visits my son every Tuesday morning in his condo. He is doing well. he lives independently and pays his own bills, does his own shopping and has a friend group who he games with both in person and online. I'm proud of the person he's matured into. an his old homebound teacher is a critical factor in his success. unfortunately, it hasn't always been smooth sailing. years ago a speech therapist used to work with him in our home. once she came over. it was the week after graduation weekend at the the college 2 blocks from our house. she came in and said to him. "it must have been a busy weekend in your neighborhood" referring to graduation weekend. he literally had no idea what she was talking about. she kept pushing him and he ended up huddled on the stairs in tears repeating over and over that she was torturing him. i know quite a few speech therapists and quite honestly 95% would never do that to a child. the memory of the speech therapist doing that to him is not a happy one. he ended up extremely upset. huddled and hiding on the stairs. i haven't watched these videos about special education classes, but my BA is in psychology and my MA is in special education. i also worked for montana's parent training and information center for many years as an advocate. my territory was all the school in MIssoula the bitterroot valley, the mission valley, and at elast once as far as drummond which is a town about 50 miles from MIssoula. that was one of the most disturbing cases that i ever worked. the parents had called me, their son had a traumatic brain injury and was seeing a psychologist in missoula. I accompanied them to a meeting for their son at DRummond high school. it was held in a regular education classroom. the boy's psychologist from MIssoula was on the phone giving the team ideas about accomodations. the regular education teacher dug his heels in after the call and refused to provide a single accomodation that the student needed. because rules are rules and everyone must follow them. actually, he was wrong, students with special needs must be have their needs accomodated. a couple of months following the meeting I saw the boy's obituary in the paper. it appeared that he may have been in an accident on a 4 wheeler. but regardless, the teacher was mistaken. refusing needed accomodations could have ended him up in court and also could have ended up with the school in a due process lawsuit. fortunatley situations like that one were the exception not the rule. but I was frequently stunned that many teachers, special education and regular education often don't have any idea, what accomdations our students with disabilities are entitled to and what the consequences are for refusing to provided them..

Thank you for your effort, i just need to know the life time of those different type after washing, dtf can be peeled and sublimation can be faded, i mean If I made the number of washing times equal for both types which one wins in this comparison? thanx

Oh man. I thought the powder was kind of like a white base to help the color pop on dark and maybe black shirts. Imagine doing 50 shirts and having to cut the HTV. I’m lazy lol

I tried this with HTVront HTV and my design looks fuzzy,…do you have an idea why it didn’t work? Do I need to use sister easeweed like delonda and crystal ann>? Or Cricut?
