Welcome to 2025 and we start out the year celebrating Charlie's birthday month and he kicks off the party with a Bonified action Classic, Total Recall. Anna and Pete get all hot and bothered with the eye candy that is Sharon Stone and Michael Ironsides while Charlie and Nate swoon over a gun. Clearly Anna and Pete are clearly winning the podcast. We make our predictions as to if it's a dream or reality and giggle our way through a great conversation. Death Proof is imitating the exploitation style from the 70s.
Spencer's Gifts was a wild and mysterious place for a kid in the 70s-80s. I dig both halves of this feature, but the fake trailers might be my favorite part.
It's hilarious that Red from That 70s Show is also one of the best film villains ever. Please review Starship Troopers and Total Recall before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.
I convinced my mom to take me to see Scanners at the drive-in. I had read about it in Fangoria. She hadn't. Love The Fly too. Not a Geena Davis fan, but it's a favorite Goldblum performance. Great discussion.

Great discussion! Amityville Horror is a great example of a cash-in of a pop-culture phenomenon that captured imaginations from the book. Other than that, it's uneventful, and to me it lives on as part of the Amityville pop-culture discussion. Part II is the best one for me. Burt Young as the dad is hilarious.
